Pretty sure that's a load of crap, R3 was engineered to compete with the Ninja 300 (according to specs I'd say Yami did a damn good job), I don't see why Kawi would have to

a.) lower engine size? ZX25R would imply 250cc
or
b.) change what's already the most popular entry level sport bike on the market

 

word on the street is it's gonna be an inline 4 with 250cc. :O

Interesting. Quick google search has lots of links about it. If its real or not I dont know but it seems like a Supersport 250CC. inline 4 250cc.

Definitely interesting, but I can't imagine it's coming to the US.

 

Much of this development is being driven by the Asian market (higher taxes on bikes >250cc). We are just the beneficiaries of the that. With new racing classes being developed, I going out on a limb and say it will make it here, maybe in a limited run. I just wonder if they'll bump the displacement for the western market to compete with it's rivals.

2-stroke would be extra bitchin, but wouldn't be possible with current CARB standards.

 

I know austrailia and New Zealand had I-4 250cc super sports back in the 90's from all major manufacturers not really anything new to the world just to the U.S. Check out the zx2r, Fzr250rr, cbr250r and gsxr250. Those would be awesome beginner bikes

 

the first thing i thought when i saw zx25r was a 2500cc but that would be kinda ridiculous
