Anyone know where i can get one of those smoked license plate covers, but for a motorcycle? Orrr know where i can get a small sheet of smoked plastic i can use to make my own?

Opinionate at free will, its just an idea.

Also, anyone know legality of this in Texas?

Yeah window tint should work since it looks flat, i'll give it a whirl! Thx (will have pics after).

I mainly want this just cause my plate's on my swingarm on the left... A lil "too easily" seen... :devious

Just ride the center line between lanes or whoolie through the tolls! Old riding buddies and I used to race from where the Hardy Toll Road begins at Loop 610 to where it ends in the Woodlands I really do miss those days!

As far as legality well it really depends on the cop and how much you pissed him off!

Under the tail is good cause its harder to see clearly except from certain angles, especially if its angled in any way, up or down. The r6 i mentioned, i had that plate pretty much flush with the tail lol. The swingarm location is from the previous owner.

Oh so your inspection simply wasnt current

I never have kept my inspections current! My FZ6 does not even have a inspection sticker on it! I rode around on my ZX6R with no inspection on it for 3-4months not expired just not even there! I have also rode around with no plate quite a few times! I only have been hassled about no inspection once the cop was cool about it! He was like this sticker is 3 yrs old why have you not gotten a new sticker I just said I am just lazy he said ok!

I have also never been hassled about a light on the plate I never have that either! I have had friends get tickets when were out riding then they try to get me a ticket to and say hey he does not have a light on his plate and the cop has responded with well he has a nicer attitude lol!

The spray paint might work well! I used to rig up a cabinet door hinge and a draw string on a few older bikes to make the plate fold up it worked well.

Mine's flush-mounted on the tail (about 10" in from the tip), and I've never had trouble.

I have my license plates tinted on my car (just a plate cover), and they work great for cameras and the like (never got a ticket from a camera), and I've never had a cop complain (I've had them like that for 10+ years on multiple cars).

Then again, on the bike they're usually really strict about license plates. Generally, they'll ticket you for the plate on the swingarm, they'll ticket you if it's too far from the end of the tail, they'll ticket you if it's obscured in any way, etc...

After some internet digging, ive found they exist for cruisers (motorcycle license plate cover is what i googled), but ive also found other "solutions" like high gloss clear reflective spray (that u can buy from Lowes) or supposedly even nail polish lol. That photoblocker spray is like $40 a can... F that! Lol
