Dyno tune is the best way to make the most amount of power because your acutally using the dyno to measure the power your bike is making with that particular tune.

You need a dyno tune to have the autotune work properly....it needs a baseline custom map to change with the conditions...too far off and it wont work correctly

Well i tought that using autotune it will be easier to get the max setup because the chip done everything for you...

Yesterday i had my zx6 installed pc v and setup using dyno tune.. The result is not that great.. Just achieve 108.64 hp using leo vince corsa r titanium full system exhaust... Still wondering why i just get that much is it my bike setup incorrectly or what????

:hmm::hmm::hmm:

dyno tune is where you use a sniffer to get a AFR. auto tune is just as good bc it makes changes as you ride the bike which is a cool thing imo... so you no the bike want be runnin lean or rich at any given time.

More importantly. where does it make more power? It may have gained heaps of midrange and torque rather then top end power

I couple racers I race with have an 09 and 10 zx6r...one has a full leo system on it and the other just has a slip on....the one with the slip on' has 2more HP at the top end but has less torque and midrange!

And the same for my 08...it pulls 117.hp with every bolt on mod u can get and a stock 07 with a slip on pulls 116hp

Get that bike tuned, its as simple as that. You'll gain power

take it to another dyno tuner if possible. It sounds like he may not be that knowledgeable.

EDIT: You can download maps for various setups from Dyno Jets website. It can get you started if you don't have access to anyone that knows how to tune.

what make dyno is it. Different dyno's always read differently even the same make.

The idea of a dyno is not to compare one bike to another but before and after modifications to the bike are made. You should have dyno'd the bike stock then stuck the can and pcv on and mapped it. A decent aftermarket filter like MWR will add about 2hp on.

Don't get hooked up on numbers and remember the air is not as dense where you are so i would expect your power to be down a bit.

Like it was mentioned above, peak numbers are not everything. How may times are you hitting 16K + rpm on the street? If you ride like me, probably for a split second getting up to speed in 1st gear while pulling onto the highway. So my question to you is why would you be concerned so much with how much power your bike makes that high in the rev range?
Bottom to mid range power is where 95% of your driving is done. Thats where if I had the choice I would want to make my biggest increase in power.

I got ur point slo6r... :bigthumb: But i just wondering why after tuned i just got 108 on its peak power while other can get more... While i guess our mod on the bike seems not too big diff..

I guess i will go with mr. okay suggestion seems my dyno guy not do the proper ....

i have an auto tuner and and a dyno. i asked the the dyno place if i even should install the auto tuner if im gonna dyno it and they all recommended if i have the auto tuner use it too. they said its the same thing but a dyno actually shows u ur power auto tuner does exactlly what it says.

Brian Turner, the owner of Dynotune Motorsports and our dyno tuner at INTENSE Racing (where I work), Said those auto tuners are no where near as good as a good dyno tune. He said the AFR wont stay stable even when there are no changes made between runs. He does go on to say though, they are better than no tuner at all, and they're better than most (if not all) of the preloaded maps available.
