Yes, you need a servo buddy when adding a slip-on exhaust. I'm using the Hindle Evolution cat-back system that replaces the muffler and resonator. Sounds great and sheds about 10 pounds from the OEM unit. The Hindle is one of the cheapest full size cat-back systems at 400-450 dollars depending on which muffler is selected.I have a 2022 zx636 and thinking to put on a slip on exhaust for weight reduction and better sound.
Staff at dealership told me do not touch or interfere with the servo otherwise you will get an error code.
I saw some slip on exhaust installation video on youtube and ask some friends. Some of them didn't use a servo buddy and some did.
So do I need one before put on the exhaust?
BTW any slip on exhaust you guys recommend
The Akrapovic and Graves systems are probably the highest quality but will cost over 600 for the cat-back systems.
