Vortex, woodcraft. . . Dion Device. Brake lever guards are pricey. So, which one to get?

Considered the Chinese ebay knock offs as well but don't know if they're worth considering.

Dion device seems to have the best design

I bought a pair of Ebay guards and they are exactly what you pay for. They feel cheap but I've never seen a more expensive brand in person so I can't really say if they're better or worse than the brands you listed. I paid $20 I think for mine so it's not like you lose a lot if you don't like them. I couldn't use mine with stock bars which I didn't know until I received them and they're collecting dust in my office.

I agree Dion Device is the best design, also steepest price tag tho...I just picked up a TWM (Marchesini) guard and it's very nice comes with matching bar ends and has replaceable tips. I had the driven one, it wasn't as nice, and I also have a rashed up woodcraft one but the way it mounts and where my hand winds up while riding just didn't work out.

Vortex or Woodcraft if you want to get something that's good and works well, while not spending too much. You should've bought my Woodcraft brake/clutch guards when I parted out my bike. Sold them both for $60.

That would've been great! oh well. I like the woodcraft guards as well.

I don't really understand why all hand guards are so expensive even though don't seem to be too difficult or costly to manufacturer. :O

Attack Performance just started producing one as well. I got a 3D printed one and if that doesn’t work out I will be going with that one.

The driven one is super nice IMO, I had one on my honda racebike and worked really well and looked super clean. I have the Woodcraft one on my ZX and looks and feels fine. Just depends if you want the bar clamp style or the bar end filler style with the wedge.

I like the Vortex ones mostly because they're really, really nice looking especially since they went to all gloss black type metal construction. I have a spare vortex and woodcraft if you want to buy one

I'd hold off a minute on ordering a brake lever guard with those Renthal Gen3 Clip ons. They are super light for a reason, they are thin walled aluminum and the I.D. is like .055 larger than all the other clip on bars! My Evol Technology lever guard won't even expand close to that. Now I have to figure out if there is a way to modify the hardware, machine new larger hardware, or find another brand that expands to about .725". The Vortex bars like most others are .650 id. The gen3 is .705". There is also not enough length to go with the o.d. clamp type. So glad they're not mandatory until next season.

Yes. However when I went down, the guard went into my fairings when I crashed at NJMP. I think its one of those things where Its more bling than function, same as brake fluid rez socks, or toe guards. Could be wrong but I don't see much function out of it.

Yup! However most guys don't ride within those parameters. I use them but they just end up being sliders for me xD. Being on the track I've been close from guys braking way too prematurely however as I go up the ranks people are far more predictable. Its definitely a great safety feature, however they tend to get wrecked or never get used as their true purpose.
