Hi all, I'm new to the forum and fairly new at riding. I'm looking to buy my first bike. the zz6r is for $3,000 with 11k miles, yoshi slip on, hid light, New spark plugs and a new air filter. The zx6r is for $3,300 with 13k miles, New tires and brakes, and fork seals were done in March, also has some cosmetic damage with scratches on fairing. Again, this will be my first my first bike that I buy. I learned on a 250, took MSF and have rode some friends' gsxr 750 and fzr 800. which of the 2 bikes is a better deal? All input is greatly appreciated.

Yeah this factors in too. I have an 01 so its basically the same as that zzr and I'll tell ya what, carbs are fidgety and they require a cleaning and tuning/synching every year. FI definitely has the advantage, especially if you get caught in the rain

Well, that zzr is the equivalent to a 00-02 zx6r, so in most instances newer is better. I'd personally take the zx6r over the zzr, depending on the cosmetic damages. If the fairings are pretty badly "scratched" then I'd go for the zzr, but honestly this all depends on which bike you like the look of more.

Maybe you can haggle the guy with the zx6r down to like $2,800 because of the damage? Go take a good look at both if you can
