Reving lowers the readout, Because the bike is now running of the battery.
This is due to the almost certain fact that your alternator has gone bad.
When it gos bad, The only source of power is the battery, which will quickly drain.
Park the bike in front of a wall , Rev it & see if your lights get brighter.

have you checked all your connections?
You could also have a wire grounding/shorting out on the frame somewhere.

Hi Guys. I have finally solved the problem. thank you for the suggestion oldninjadude.
there was a lot wrong with my wiring so i replaced it with a new wire harness.
after replacing it i still had the problem but the readings were much better. after replacing the rectifier yet again the charging problems stopt completely.
actually i am getter better performance from my bike now after replacing all of the parts mentioned. or it could be ust me after riding after 4 months again.

2004 Kawasaki ZX-6R Electrical issue.

Hey guys,
I kind of have the same situation where I think my regulator/rectifier is gone. So I own a 04 636, I went riding two weeks ago since last summer. The bike ran fine, did a 150 mile ride came home put the bike in the garage. Well yesterday I took it out to take it for a spin and it had a hard time starting, it cranked over twice and that was it. Now i'm shocked because my battery is drained. I changed my battery last summer and I don't think it is bad because I put a battery tender on it all throughout winter. So today I charged my battery, I put it back in, I turned the key to Auxiliary and the cluster lights came on for two second and went dead. When I try to hit the start ignition button, I hear a tick from the rectifier and from a rely by the battery.. Any advice? I really don't think its the stator but who knows. I will check my battery again to make sure it is working properly.
