Newbie saying hi! And askin few?'s

First off id just like to introduce myself. Names travis, I live in Kentucky. Just bought my first bike 06 zx6r 14,000 miles for $4,000. Mods are high and low HID's 25,000K bright as daylight at night! Full two brothers dual exhaust coming out under rear seat. Vortex sprockets -1 front +2 rear. Smoked LED taillight. Bike is white and black. A lot of powder coated black parts on bike. The ignition where the key goes in fell out an hour of riding after buying bike. 3hr ride home. It fell down in the left side and I was turning in to a gas station and turned and with the ignition being down in the bike and turning this caused the bike to turn off something hit key and bike locked up and i hopped off it laid over. Didnt want a broken ankle or anything. (I didnt know ignition had fell out until this point.) what holds that into the hole it goes through? Two bolts? Also it bent my right handlebar so now when I turn sharp right my hand hits the tank. So whats the best aftermarket handlebars and grips for these bikes and where to buy them? Im new to all of this. Thanks for any help/info. I attached a picture let me know if its not working and how to make it work if it isnt.

Yeah I looked the bike over everything is tight and stuff. Just that one problem with the ignition. But the HID's are brighter then my 10k HID heads and fogs that are in my truck. Seriously riding at night is like riding during the day with them on high and both HID's are on. Thanks for the compliment on the bike! But any ideas on aftermarket handlebars?? After the drop the right side is bent im guessing, because my hand hits tank turning sharp now and is noticeably different then left side. Also any mods I should do to the bike? Power commander? Or anything? Looking to get the best performance ride feel out of the bike.

As for the handle bars, either go OEM clipon replacement or look into some aftermarket clip ons.

The best performance upgrade I've done was proper schooling in how to correctly ride during track days. 99% of people, including myself cannot use the full potential of our bikes, let alone any 600, on the street. Do yourself a favor, save the money from performance upgrades, buy some trackdays and proper schooling.
back likes this.

Well ive got about 8 years riding experience. And raced dirtbikes for 10 years. Always rode bikes just never owned one due 2 my huge size of balls and didnt want to hurt myself. First time I rode a bike it was a 1000cbr and before making it a mile, I had already rode 1 wheelie and spent the next 20 minutes riding them. After returning the bike to my friend numerous wheelies and 4x topping the bike out last time I looked at speedo it read 167 after that I was looking at the road and not the speedo. I swore I would never own one. Its just such a natural feeling riding a bike to me. I bought a 600 to keep myself from owning too much bike but this 636 just isnt enough. Im a speed demon and to me its not about how fast it goes but how fast it gets going. (Im a drag racer now). So if the bike sees any track its going to be the dragstrip. Not saying im perfect by any means or even close but track riding just doesnt interest me. And building/souping up things interests me a lot. I cant and wont own anything remotely stock so any list of mods or anything would greatly help out.

Why would you drag a 636 and mod it out for that. First litre would spank you. Im sorry ive been around bikes all my life and I call bs.
You dont have to pump up yourself to be repected in a biker community.

while you're at it, get the renthal kevlar grips. super sticky without a lot of grabbing needed.

Welcome. Sorry you laid her down. As for the HIDs. Go with 4300k. Anything above that may look brighter to your eyes but you lose visibility quick and they look silly. Just food for thought.

I said if It saw any track thats the track it would be not I was going to drag race it. And I want to mod it to tweak the best handling and performance out of it. And I dont know what your calling BS on nor care, I was pretty much just summing up some stuff so everyone wouldnt tell me to take my bike to a track and learn its potential and stuff. Didnt " pump " myself up. Nor am I trying to get "repected" by you or anyone else.
