636 Won't start...What haven't I tried???

Ok I have a 2006 zx636 about 20k miles. It has run perfectly fine up until about 2 weeks ago. I started it up and noticed it was idling kinda low but nothing really to concern myself with...or so i thought. I go to pull out of my complex and notice that it is sluggish when I try to give it throttle so I turn around and bring it back home. I cut it off and try to start it again and it barely starts and then cuts off and dies. Now it won't start at all. Here is what i've done to try and fix it. Battery is about 5 months old so it SHOULDN'T be the battery, but i will charge it tomorrow and see what happens. Changed spark plugs, changed fuel pump/filter, drained gas tank and refilled with gas, changed top fuel rail assembly/fuel injectors (the ones on the top part of the airbox). Now when I start it, it makes this buzzing/fast clicking noise. Idk if it's the starter or rectifier?

rectifier wont make a noise. Its probably your battery. get a voltmeter and test it before you charge the battery it and after you charge it. trickle charge lower than 2 amps or you could fry the battery.

Something similar happened to me the other day. Have you checked the idle screw? For some weird reason mine got turned down real low not allowing the bike to start. Try and turn the idle screw a couple times clockwise and then try to start it.

I will charge the battery tomorrow and see what happens. As far as the rectifier, I read that if it's weak it will make a buzzing/fast clicking noise. Any truth to that?

also to the idle screw comment. I have played around with that going both to the left and right with no luck so i don't think it's that. I have a power commander on the bike from the previous owner, a friend, and if the battery isn't the issue i'm going to have him hook up the power commander and see if that can change anything though i doubt it will.

if you battery is 5 months old, there could be something draining your battery. maybe stators

UPDATE: I got eveything put back together, charged the battery (unit said 11% when I first plugged it in) and got it charged up to about 90% before I tried it. Bike would crank better but still wouldnt turn over. I adjusted the RPM screw and was able to get the bike to idle but whenever I would give it throttle it would cut out as I let off. It was idling around 900RPM. Finally got it to idle right at 1500rpm and took it around the block with no issues. I can't say what exactly fixed the problem because I know I drained the battery about half way through all my repairs. I think it was the spark plugs, which I were told by the owner were NEVER CHANGED...it's an 06 with 20k miles but all I know now is it's running ok and i'm happy with it.

FYI:

Just be cautious and make sure your battery holds a good charge since bikes run off of the battery and not the stator. Unlike cars, where the vehicle can continue to run fine once started, even if the battery is weak since cars run off of the alternator. So if your battery doesn't hold a charge, you might be able to start it and ride of for a short distance, but then the bike will die. Possibly leaving you stranded out in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah....I can try & make that for ya.
