Any suggestion on where to buy OEM parts online at a discounted price? I'm looking to purchase a replacement OEM fuel tank for my 2018 zx6r (matte silver) that was damaged during a thunderstorm. Strong wind blew my bike over and the tank landed on the footpeg of my buddy's bike. i was able to find one on Bikebandit.com for just under a thousand bucks ($985.95). Appreciate if anyone can point me to the right direction.

It happened outside my work place, so i filed under my motorcycle insurance. I tried to use act of god, but no luck with the insurance company in Mass. $500 deductible inst too bad, but it sucks regardless.

Thanks for the suggestion, partzilla has the tank for $100 less.

Not to point out the obvious but..........

A comprehensive claim is all this is, and if you have a $500 deductible and are using insurance who cares if the tank costs $600 or $6000?

of course I can understand if you could find one for less or damn near your deductible and not make any claim at all........but it sounds like you already made the claim, cost is mute at this point..........

Something similar happened to my 2015 few years back in the parking garage. lady bumped the bike and it hit the wall. tank had a huge dent. front cowling had a crack.

$2500 worth of damage. Had the bike for 2 weeks. I was hot. Called insurance. payed 500 deductible. tank price was about the same like yours $ 900 +

Bought all parts at bike bandit. they had a 10% discount for signing up. helped a bit. make sure you order a new tank pad and be careful when removing the hoses.

Easy repair
