Exclamation Forum needs brakedown by years

Too many topics for zx6r that have very little to do with specific bikes.
Moderators seriously need to create/sort this forum by years also.

The advanced search function will help, to some degree. I'm not a moderator, but I can easily see where having many thousands of posts to go through and sort would be a monstrously time consuming task.

The topics are broken down already, to some degree -- it's really up to the people posting to put it in a category that makes the most sense. Mechanical and Technical, ZX6 specific, general, off topic, new member intro......

Some subjects are completely independent of a specific year or model. There are indeed faults and known weaknesses of each model that has been sold in the past 20 years -- add in the complication that the Euro models, and the Canadian models are not identical to the US models and how you slice the sorting becomes a real PITA in short order.

The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'

The only time a leader should use the word "I" is in the sentence "I have to shit"

If you have a specific question just post a new thread...

Seems easy enough.

10% rule...all you have to do is be 10% smarter than the problem you're working on, and you'll figure it out every time.

I have seen that structure on other forums, especially car forums and it's mostly useless. It ends up with a bunch of categories that have like 3 threads on in 2 years. I like this structure better here.

Searching usually works, but people don't do it often enough. If you have a technical question, there is a category for that, it doesn't matter what year of bike you have.

Alternatively, you can ask whatever you want on Trackday Junkies group on facebook. You will get every answer imaginable within an hour. Good luck! lol

Bike year categories work really well at ZX-10r.net forums, but itís more of using tags to filter what you want. Miata.net and f150forum.com break section for each generation, too. Works really well.

Mustang forums has it broken down by years
ie.......... s197 is 2011-2014
s550 is 2015 ^
fox bodies back in 79-90ish etc

and then they have all the same subcategories (which is perhaps 6-10)

but like said above, quite often you go to one of the older categories and you may see the newest post is a year old

I don't really give any shits if this is broken down or not.................. I already know it all so I don't need to look on the forum for answers ....
RJ2112 and Ey3l45h like this.

woohoo we are having fun now
Stupid people say stupid things on the internet, so be wary of who those people are. If you solicit advice on the internet, just keep in mind 99% of what you'll receive is not based on fact or science-and likely atleast 95% of it is based on bullshit and bravado regurgitated from some other schlub who also did not experience any of what they claim and are also full of shit. If you don't like my bluntness- too bad. I am not here to please you, so move along, your approval is not desired nor is it needed. So before opening your pie hole and adding more stupidity, perhaps sit back, listen, absorb and learn something. You know that saying, it is better to remain silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt!
