I heard it was pretty easy with the new dash, like how to check the engine codes or clear the check engine light. Anything will help. I installed an alarm on mine and now I got the check engine light. I tried disconnecting the battery for 30 min but that didn’t work.
Check to see if anyone has made the '19 shop manual available on this site....
If not, grab the one that covers the preceding generation (13-18), and see if the buttonology is the same to read codes.
Odds are very good, your bike doesn't like your alarm installation.... Whether that is due to where and how you installed, or if the alarm is actually compatible with your bike, would be the question.
Can you remove the alarm and clear the check engine light?
My check engine light and tech options are all flashing after installing my pcv. I was actually trying to just set my clock when I did this but holding down the top and bottom buttons on the dash showed my codes where your mileage is.
My codes were 11, 13 in case you wanted to know.
Anyway, as for clearing them, I have no idea. Let me know if you figure out that part!
If you don't resolve the issue for the code to pop up...it won't go away you know...
If you have a code for faulty or missing exhaust servo, you have to plug-in a working exhaust servo or a servo eliminator.
Otherwise you will get the same FI warning and red light all the time.
