2005 zx6r

I had issues with the old wiring harness, I took it out got a new one got it put in, now the bike is iffy in wether it starts or not. If it does start it’s for a few seconds and then shuts off. The last few times I’ve tried it doesn’t even try to start. I’ve checked all wires and made sure throttle body was tight and airbox and all vent hoes. Ran before I swapped the harness. Somebody helpppp

Before I tightened everything it would fire with very little throttle and then die

Do u have any starter fluid? Spray it into the intake as its cranking. See if it starts like that.

I’ll try it tomorrow, it’s fired multiple times before I tightened everything up but wouldn’t stay running

Well its either not getting fuel or not getting spark. Im assuming u already know how to test for spark.

For fuel, if u already have the airbox off, u can actually look down into the throttle bodies with a flashlight to see if its spraying fuel.

How sure are you about that new harness?

It was melted at one spot. It’s back to trying to fire now with a new fuel pump, but the fuel pump is constantly making noise
