Alright update time, So i manged to get the front turn signals working after i pulled the wire out of the non working one and switched it around. after that i put the key in and Wala. she worked. i then took the turn signals off since i had to put the fairing back on. after putting the front fairing on i wired it up again. but this time the turn signals didnt work AGAIN! and now the back turn signals dont work! i also noticed that the turn signal light on the Cluster gauge dont turn when i hit the signal switch. ABOUT LOST MY PATIENCE WITH THIS $#!T.. Any idea what a shop would charge for a job like this. The bike works fine and all other lights work such as headlight, and rear light. Anyone from the forums live in or around the Central Florida area that knows how to fix this issue?

Believe it or not, you are making progress.... I would be betting on one open connection, now. Either a blown fuse, or a loose ground, or a broken wire.

You got everything to work. +1

You got everything to fail.... -0.5 (you changed the problem, which means you are affecting the source, and not a symptom. Root cause. Very important, in solving problems.)

If you're getting this far, without using a multimeter you should have it figured out in no time....... If you use the right tool for the job.

Not trying to rain on your parade, this is meant to be encouragement.

I just find it impressive that RJ has the time to actually hammer out some of the replies he does! Don't you have a job?

These things mostly get written when I wake up in the wee hours of the morning, and have nothing better to do with my time.

Technical problems require technical explanations.

I don't work at 0400..... If I'm awake and have nothing more pressing to do, I will take on the task of describing some portion of what makes motorcycles magic.

It's a life long passion. Fascinating stuff, IMHO. If I can share some of that, and someone benefits I've paid back some of the kharma that has gotten me where I am.

@RJ2112 , so as of 20 minutes ago i went and opened the fuse box and long behold the dang tail fuse was blown. i guess that happen when the light came untangled from my wiring job and touched the rim of the bike. swapped fuse out and all turn signals seem to be working. Now only question is are the front turn signals suppose to stay lite up the whole time? reason i ask is the front turn signals on mine only turn on when i activate the switch for the individual signal. Do you think that would be a problem with the dmv when i go get the bike inspected? or is that normal operation. Again thanks for the help and walk through.

On my 2011 the turn signals are normally Off until you activate them with the switch then they blink. So, if "the front turn signals on mine only turn on when i activate the switch for the individual signal." is how they're working, that sounds right to me.

Normal ops, on my '09..... off until you command the blinker to turn on. Good job on following through.
