Every bolt on the bike is reusable as long as it isn't visibly damaged or labeled as "torque to yield" in the manual, which means you torque it beyond elastic deformation and into plastic deformation.

Steel bolts going into aluminum, in the typical sizes anywhere else on the bike will do damage to the aluminum before they deform enough to be a concern. Unless they are cross threaded or otherwise damage the cases, etc.

By that I think @Gawernator means order a bicycle.

Or at least don't work on motorcycles.

Man I'm sorry.... but after 4 pages? One of which confirmed and explained almost down to the tensile streangth and fucking physics of how bolts work, you still asked if it's OK?

Just have someone else work on it until you've really learned some basics. Please....

Why do I ride as number 69? Well, its a number that you can still read when the bike is upside down after a crash." - Nicky Hayden

I've had many teachers in school and professors in various college classes that always said "no question is a stupid question, so don't be afraid to ask". Boy I wish I could show all those mofos this thread cuz they were way fuckin wrong!!

A1 you should take an ASVAB test, particularly the last few sections pertaining to mechanical aptitude, auto/shop, assembly.
