WTB: J Model 00-02 ZX6R/05-08 ZZR600 OEM Fairings

Well. It's just one of those shitty days.

For the first time in my 15ish years on two wheels I panicked and grabbed too much brake. Went over the top (I'm fine, not a scratch on me). I guess if you never screw up you haven't put enough miles on the road.

Well onto the post. Looks like I need a new headlight, nose fairing with the ram air inlet, and tail at a minimum. Somehow even though the bike ended up on top of me the sides are perfectly fine and my gear was un-scathed.

Hopefully someone around here has some OEM parts they wouldn't mind parting with to help a fellow J-model guy out.

Just realized the pictures don't do it justice, but the right headlight lens is totally shattered and all of the tabs on the back side of the nose are broken pretty sure it's only being held up by the headlight frame and the screws into the side fairings.

Sorry to hear this, glad you're okay.

It's probably far less expensive to convert it to a street fighter, than restoring it would be.

Good luck with the search.

The thought has honestly crossed my mind, but I really am partial to the looks of the J. I've found a few tails but the upper is looking like it's going to be hard to find OEM

If anyone around Richmond VA is skilled at plastic welding I'd be open to trying to weld mine back together (I know LarryJ used to do this but I haven't seen him online in forever)

Bumpity.

Still looking. Heard good things about Monster Fairings, debating trying them out if this search for OEM does not bear fruit soon

if not buying new......... here are some choices

woohoo we are having fun now
Stupid people say stupid things on the internet, so be wary of who those people are. If you solicit advice on the internet, just keep in mind 99% of what you'll receive is not based on fact or science-and likely atleast 95% of it is based on bullshit and bravado regurgitated from some other schlub who also did not experience any of what they claim and are also full of shit. If you don't like my bluntness- too bad. I am not here to please you, so move along, your approval is not desired nor is it needed. So before opening your pie hole and adding more stupidity, perhaps sit back, listen, absorb and learn something. You know that saying, it is better to remain silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt!
