The best answer is to get them to state in writing whether it's acceptable or not. Having thrown out that anchor, I don't think you have a thing to worry about. Not a lot of magnesium in your bike.

Would really appreciate some help.
Just changed thermostat and flushed system ready for new coolant. All good so far!
Looking at the bottles of Castrol motorcycle coolant i have they say not suitable for magnesium alloy - I have no idea if this is now suitable for my bike? Apart from the mag alloy stuff it says suitable for all motorcycle engines?
So do i have a magnesium alloy engine or am i ok to fill up with this stuff?
thanks in advance
Matt
The engine coolant should not come in contact with any of those points in use (should only be on the inside, through the water jacket around the cylinders, to the water pump, to the radiator and back).... If you spilled your coolant on the outside of the engine, you might cause some discoloration of the covers; that's probably the extent of it.Thanks RJ2112
My haynes workshop manual state that it has magnesium valve cover, oil sump, clutch cover and oil pump cover - you still think ok? I know i am probably worrying about nothing but...
thanks
Matt
