Yoshi not loud enough - SOLVED

Hi there
i just fitted a yoshi RS5 carbon (cone tip) to my bike.
its got a nice note but really isnt all that loud.

on other bikes i have access to with yoshis on it they are plenty loud.
any ideas? it doesnt seem to have a removable baffle or anything (not that i can tell anyway)

im not too worried its still heaps better than standard :)

Welcome to the site!

The zorst will grow louder over time as the internals burn down (Wow, thats so the wrong terminology) but not considerably louder. Most exhausts sold in Oz don't come standard with baffles so I'm not sure if it has one. It sure looks good, anyway!

i got it out of USA.
Bike stuff is too expensive here. its cheaper to buy it in USA and have it shipped here.

thanks for the feedback.
im sure i will be glad its not any louder after the first long trip on it ;)

Haha, yeah. Not one bit on my bike is from Australia.

The US is much the same with baffles though. They hardly ever come standard.

Haha..
+1 to the "they get louder and louderrr", same case with custom exhaust system on cars.. takes them around an average of 1600 - 2000 KM drive to get full sound.. Congrats on the Yoshi :)

thanks for the responses
im glad to hear that it is still developing its sound :)

even if it didnt get any louder i still like it cause its still heaps better than standard and a sh!tload lighter as well.
i was amazed how heavy the stock exhaust actually is.

I solved my problem a while back.
thought i should leave an update incase someone else has the same problem later on.

basically this exhaust did come with a removable "race" baffle in the end of it - that i assumed initially wasnt removable as it wasnt obvious how to get it out.
after a bit of thought and advice from a mate i simply removed the end cap, unbolted the baffle and slid it out then
replaced the end cap.

instant volume :)

very happy with the sound now:bigsmile:

Hey Jase,

With the increased volume of the zorst, it will be harder for you to hear the anti-lane splitting rambles coming from the pillion seat... :laugh

i read somewhere that you have to drill out the rivets, unbolt the baffle, and then reinstall the end cap. Im not sure if i feel comfortable with drilling the rivets out and putting new ones in :O
