Hi folks! I'm hoping to buy a 2023 ZX6R (will be my 3rd one) as soon as my local dealer can get one in stock. I was wondering what colorway you all prefer. I'm leaning heavily toward the Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray/metallic Diablo Black as opposed to the Metallic Matte Twilight Blue/metallic Diablo Black. Just curious to know which colorway many of you like and why.

I do love the black Especially with the red. Wish they left the stripes off the tank tho.

And congrats.
Thanks! I forgot how much I miss this 600cc (636cc in this case) realm. These bikes are so fun and usable on the road compared to the 1K sportbikes.
You get to think you are a good part of why the bike does what it will. Higher HP, the bike is bored with you so much of the time….

When you can go 100mph in first gear there really isn’t a lot of chances to even use the capability of a litter bike. It’s like 450 motocross bike. Less than a dozen humans on the planet that can actually ride that bike to its potential. Yet every kid riding thinks they need one. A. A CLASS rider on a 250 will smoke a B class rider on a 450. Every single time.

Imagine what it would look like with Kawasaki green stripes instead of the red. BTW, what crashbar is that? Looks nice, not too big.

Exactly. My last liter bike was a 2014 ZX-10R and for the street which is really all I ride on, it was not possible to wind it out and really enjoy it.

There's a lot of truth in the old saw about it being a lot more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow....

Not sure I’d dig the green on it.

there impacktech race rails and adjustable sub kit.

Any fairing modifications needed for the impacktech and how much does it weigh?

Nope. Just bolt and go. And I have no idea how much it weighs. Never cared enough to check to be honest. I’d almost bet they have the weights on their website. Or maybe in there YouTube vids. I remember ones reading or hearing them describe the weight difference between the race rails and the full stunt cage. But when it comes to protecting it is what it is. I remember back in the day using cages from new company’s. . Hell they did more damage than not even having a cage. Mostly ripping the motor mounts out of the frame. Kind of pointless to save your plastics if the motor isn’t connected anymore. I run impact on my 03 stunt bike and the race rails on mine and my boys 23 above. I run Cox on my 20 and I have mangled both brands so bad you have to cut them off with a saw and the bike be perfectly fine.

They look nice and if they do a better job protecting the frame and fairings they might be worth the price. What color is that on the ones you have in the picture?

I’m not even sure. lol. They usually hook me up with stunt stuff so I just told him to match the red on the bike. The sub stuff is aluminum so it’s anodized and a little different red than the cage. But I assume it’s colors they offer on the site.
Impact is not cheap tho. I’d imagine for just regular low side stuff frame sliders would be just as productive. Especially if you don’t do any slow stunt stuff. I like there sub kits because they are fully adjustable so you can get the passenger pegs good and high for wheelies and staggered and all that goofy shit. And there super tuff.
