a friend of mine dropped the hell out of my bike. broke the handlebar from the upper fork holder. part that holds the ignition. the bike is a 2006 zx6r

does anyone have an experience in replacing this part? it looks pretty straightforward i just dont want the bike to just drop on me when i take it off. but there isnt much connected to it. and im wondering if the nut in the middle needs to be aligned assigned a certain way. or if its going to spin the bearings and misalign the axle thing that goes to the lower brace. blah blah, anyway has anyone done this?

this is what im talking about. the front struts slip through those holes.

Sorry I am a bit confused.

Are you saying you need new bars? If so just got to http://www.woodcraft-cfm.com/Scripts/default.asp and get some clip on's.

As for the main nut. When you re-install the unit you need to tighten the nuts so their is proper play and the top not set to the proper torque setting.

Again if sorry if I am off I just did fully understand the question.
