Two Brothers S1R vs Black Series

6291 Views 9 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  2y4life
I have just completed the break-in period and want to change the stock exhaust to Two brothers S1R or Black Series Slip on.
I'm stuck that what to choose.
Whats the difference between both of them and which is better as in sound wise.
I have seen few youtube videos but still cannot make up my mind.

The word "better" and "sound" is so arbitrary that no one can make a convincing argument. I have a friend who has the S1R slip on while I have the Black Series. Both are carbon fiber, both sound quite similar although I think the Black Series sounds a bit deeper in tone, and if you get the carbon fiber, it comes down to preference of style. I like the carbon fiber weaving pattern of the Black Series more than the S1R but I like the endcap to the S1R a bit more. Again, preference.

Look at some pictures and videos and see what you like. They are quite loud, up there with the loudest slip ons available so if you don't want to wake up the entire neighborhood, you may want to get a Yoshi or something else that's not as loud or spend $35 on a baffle/P1x silencer.

I personally really like both but didn't wanna spend the coin (or delete my prechamber). Went with a cheap MGP from Hotbodies and this thing looks and sounds amazing for what I paid for it!

I got the black series delivered today, the main reason I chose it was because the other version came with gold inserts/torx screws which wouldn't go with mt black/blue theme on the bike!

So I opted for the black series carbon :)

I just installed the S1R, but the weather has kept me from riding for now.

I picked the S1R because I liked the longer and slimmer profile (oval shape). I have a 14 Green/Black S1R and loved the pic on 2B's site with my bike.

If you get the S1R with the P1x silencer, you will need to call 2B and get the wave washer to make sure that the silencer can fit snug into the endcap. The rubber O-Rings included with the P1x will not work.

2B was able to get me the wave washer within a week. The rep stated that the S1R should come with the wave washer, but my S1R did not.

Thanks guys for the replies. It is such a hard call which one to choose.
I agree its more sort of personal preference. Yes the Black Series has better weaving pattern and the S1R with better endcap.

Sound wont be much problem i guess unless am revving it hard infront of a cop lol
As you guys have said it sounds nearly the same, will be going for S1R as i find it little nicer (look wise). Will defo keep you guys updated. :)
black series.

ordered one for my new bike(shh don't tell anyone i have a new bike on the way)
You're also forgetting about the silver series, basically the same as the black but cosmetically a little different.

I have the Silver series slip on and it looks amazing ! Sound wise, from what i've heard, its same as the black series .. which is also awesome !

Did u guys put your bike on power commander after installing the slip-on ?
Read it over forums, guys are saying that It decreases low end power. What is ur experience?
Two bros says that it is better if there is juice box or power commander after the installation of slip on.

With a slip on , a fuel controller is not necessary. Would help and be of benefit but not necessary. Full system exhaust, get a PC or Bazzaz and then Dyno tuned.
