I know theres a big controversy about the indicated and actual top speed of our bikes. I hit 152mph indicated and that scared the crap outta me so I slowed up. Just wondering what you've guys have hit? No BS numbers either:rant

160 km/h, when I was trying the bike before I bought it. It was the first time I were out driving a bike, since I got the license, 2 month earlier. Even though its not so fast, it had been raining and the roads were wet and some puddles laying around. And I had normal clothes on, so didnt want to push it :)

Since its wintertime, it will be some month before I go out again, but Im gonna take it slow - need to get some routine before I push it up the revs too much.

Nice to see another scandinavian here Phantom! :rotfl

I sure hope that the forecast for 2007 will be correct, that it will be warmest year of all. And you know what that means = A LOT of days to ride that freaking sweet bike, ninja-style!

Can't wait!

156mph on my kwak that was on a big straight not to far from where i live, Mind you it is difficult to look at a speedo and try and keep on top of where you are going at that speed on a public road!

Have a look at www.uponone.com There are some vids of a 636 hitting 280 odd km/h

I've seen an indicated 178 mph on the interstate once. At summit point raceway going down the final straight I was running an indicated 165 ish consistently depending on if someone was holding me up in turn 10 or not. I've had it well over 150 more times than I can count though.

Q: How to convert from MPH (Miles Per Hour) to KM/H (Kilometers Per Hour), and vice versa?

A: Use the calculator in Windows, and use the following formulas.

KM/H * 0,6214 = MPH
MPH * 1,6092 = KM/H

Some examples:
KM/H = MPH
-------------
10 = 6,214
20 = 12,428
30 = 18,642
40 = 24,856
50 = 31,07
60 = 37,284
70 = 43,498
80 = 49,712
90 = 55,926
100 = 62,14
110 = 68,354
120 = 74,568
130 = 80,782
140 = 86,996
150 = 93,21
160 = 99,424
170 = 105,638
180 = 111,852
190 = 118,066
200 = 124,28
210 = 130,494
220 = 136,708
230 = 142,922
240 = 149,136
250 = 155,35
260 = 161,564
270 = 167,778
280 = 173,992
290 = 180,206
300 = 186,42

Oh hail the great conversion god! :hail

I've managed 145mph, thats was only because a stuck up suit in his BMW 535i wouldn't move. He ended up trying to out run me and he pissed me off! He gave up in the end and moved over - he was going mental - aaahhhhhhh!!:2finger

I didn't run out of asphalt on my 2 runs I did last year to hit my top speed.

1st attempt - 283 km/h

2nd attempt - 286 km/h

Top speed of 177.7 mph on my second attempt... First try was completely stock and the second attempt was with my Yosh RS-5 slip on.

I have since installed a Power Commander, K&N filter, Puig Racing screen and done the jumper mod.

I'll try again next year... just gotta wait for the snow to melt! :coocoo
