Hey everyone...I have a 2001 Kawasaki ZX-6R and just purchased Michelin Pilot Power tires. The bike calls for a 120/65/17 on the front and a 180/55/17 on the back. That is what I ordered, but I received a 120/70/17 for the front.

When I called the company from which I bought them, they told me the width of both of these sizes is the same, but the height they say for the 120/70/17 is only 2-3 milimeters higher. They told me it would be more advantageous to run the 120/70/17's.

Thoughts? Should I keep the 120/70/17 or send it back for the 120/65/17?

Help....thanks.

No worries, you can run the 70 no problem. The only thing it will do is raise your ride height about 5mm. To counterac this simply raise your fork tube through the upper yoke 5mm.

Running 70 on the front of my '05, no changes to the fork hight at all. Handles just fine and is a little more stable than the stock 65 was. Install it, ride, don't worry about it.

If it were me I'd use the 70 series:yes If it runs wide or doesn't turn like it should lower the front by ~3-5mm to get the same geometry as with the 65 series.
