[Ascalon]

My 636 A1 has started to make a ticking noise that rises with revs.
It is most noticeable at 4-5 k with a distinct resonance at 4.5k revs.

I have had Kawasakis before that had noisey cam chain adjusters and I was wondering if this is likely the same thing?
It has only become noticeable in the last few hundred miles, the bike has only just hit 4,800 miles now.

I was gonna wait till 6k and then get the full service done with carb synch and valve check, but I am wondering if I should put it in a bit realy to get this checked out.

Hey i have been through that before .. My zx6rr had a ticking noise sounded like a valve i took it to the dealer they said it was in the bottom end , but i didnt buy it, so i took the valve cover off everything looked good when i put the cover back on the noise was gone so i guess it had somthing to do with the chain tensioner .. Not sure if that helps but good luck.

mine is doing the same thing but it does it worse when i first start it up but it still does it after i ride it a while

Well, as I mentioned in another thread, I've just had mine checked out and it's all tickety-boo, noises and all.
Indeed, they all do that sir!

Mine does it as well, ive looked into it. Its the kawi tick.
