The bump on top is a latch. You have to squeeze in the center to defeat the latch

Sometimes it helps when you squeeze those release tabs to be pushing the connectors further in, then pull it out

Yup. Squeeze the latch, push it in a bit before you pull. But don't forget about the super technical "wiggle and pull technique" where you wiggle it slightly side to side while pulling.

A bit of dielectric grease once you have them off will make it easier next time.

I noticed that I had a bunch of connectors stuck the first time I tried to diconnect. Turn out I had thin layers of grit/dirt whateves under the tabs you need to press down on to release the latching. goy an new long dry long bristle toothbrush scrubbed vigorously an hit with compressed air. now I could feel the latch release..but stll to tight. got a plastic spudger and wedged it between the socket and connector while press the latch...POPPED right off.
