Does anyone have any suspension settings for a B1H, I know that it is best to go and get it sorted out properly, but don't have the time or money!!!

Main problem is riding on bumpy roads, currently set to factory settings as per the handbook, seem to get thrown up out of the seat sometimes, I know that they are a hard ride, but is there a compromise.....???

I am 80kg in weight (on a good day that is........)

Any ideas would be appreciated!

I have an '03 B1H Mate and use these -

These settings work for me on stock units, I'm 72 kgs so expect they'll work even better for you, as your heavier, as rear is STILL slightly too firm for me.

They are a mix of MCN, Superbike and PB settings!

Front Pre-load - Minimum
Front Comp - 10 clicks out from fully in
Front Rebound - 6 clicks out from fully in

Rear Pre-load - 11mm thread showing above adjuster nut
Rear Comp - 3 ½ turns out from fully in
Rear Rebound - 5 ½ turns out from fully in

Tyre pressures - 35psi front, 40 psi rear.

Like i said, THESE WORK FOR ME but that doesn't mean they'll suit you. I ride a mix of 50% commuting and 50% blasts! It's as good as i'm going to get on standard kit and works pretty well. I too suffer on bumpy roads but don't actually feel i need a steering damper with these settings.

Hope these help, but as you already know, it's best to get them set up by pro's or revalved to suit. I didn't though, tight arse!
