I was able to work some magic with amazon customer service and they let me order the 1 black one they had left and price matched it to the blue at $295.98. If you try you may be able to get them to price match the red one ( http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GWCU06Y?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&s= ).
I had alittle tank slap the other night when I was pushing it. So I figure to stop that in the future why not. I maybe new on he forum but not to riding
I have spoken to GPR who are local to me in San Diego. The 2013 GPR is different than the other models and you must purchase a GPR specifically for the 2013s.
However, some other members have disagreed with me and said theirs mounted fine and I believe one guy said he was able to mount it, he just had to install the GPR upside down.
I'm not sure why that would be. If you're going fast enough, and the front wheel comes up off the ground and comes back down out of alignment with the rear wheel, a tank slapper may ensue.
Idk, personally, $400 isn't enough for me to risk getting fucked by physical principles I don't understand 100%. Further, I suspect that even if I fully understood the entire system at play (with respect to tank slappers and head-shake), I'd still want a damper because of the possibility (however remote), that the stars would align, and I'd be on my ass skidding down the road. No thanks.
I went with the GPRv4. Also ground down some of the key so that it doesn't put undue stress on the ignition column (using a grinder, and finally some very fine sand paper).
