Bought this bike back in October and looked at it twice before I bought it. Thought it was in really good shape....WRONG. After getting it home and inspecting it closely I was sure the bike had been flipped. FML! So I decided to just rebuild it completely and make it as close to new as possible and hopefully have it ready by spring. On to the pics!
Stripped everything off it to start with...

Decided to drop the motor and get a new frame and swing arm for it. Figured while I was at it I'd have them and the tail powder coated a textured satin black along with the inside of the rotors. Also had the wheels and top triple powdered white since I want this to be a white 6R. Turned out pretty badass imo.

Onto the painting of parts. So far I've painted the calipers, sprockets, bottom of the forks, exhaust (along with wrapping the headers) and anything else that was previously gloss black. Used Duplicolor low gloss engine enamel. Stuff is sturdy as hell for paint and matches the powder coat perfectly minus the texture. Here is the exhaust for example...

This weekend hoping to get the motor back on the frame and start adding all the rest of the parts I've been buying since November. I'll update the thread as I go. Stay tuned!
