I've been thinking about doing the switch to SS, although on here i have seen some people buying the wrong kit(not for abs) which mine is an abs model. Core moto has an abs kit for $199. Is that a good kit, who would yall recommend? difficulty of installation?

I am mechanically inclined

Don't have ABS so I don't know about that but I have Spiegler lines and love them. They changed the feel of the lever and the pedal. They feel very solid and strong and the bike brakes much harder. Installation was incredibly simple. If you know how to bleed brakes it will take you 20 minutes if that.
^+1 basically what he said. I threw some front and rear HEL lines on. Like night and day. Paid $150 for front and rear, $199 seems like a fair deal. From what I've read all the brands are about the same. DO IT

Does the 2007 zx6r have ABS? Don't think that was around at the time...though you might be talking about a different bike.
I know nothing about the ABS versions of their kits or what difference that makes or anything, but I have CoreMoto SS lines and love them. I installed them about 2 years ago now and they've been flawless so far, so... :O

Installation is no big deal really. As with all brake related stuff, bleeding is the only potential bitch. Go for it, man! :bigthumb:
07 did not have an abs model
lol - I didn't even look at what year bike it was; I just read the post and assumed it must be a newer bike that I don't know anything about. Maybe he's got a second one not listed in his profile? :O
Im not sure what the abs difference is in line but there is some, because i have seen people seeling nonabs kits because they did not fit.

But do you actually have an 07 or do you have a newer bike...because if you actually do have an 07, you don't need an ABS specific kit...since it doesn't have ABS...:O

You may want to update your profile then.

There are more lines in an ABS kit. They are also different lengths than the non ABS.
