So along with my shop business I've also got a YouTube channel that I have been putting together How-To's, top-5 lists, tutorials, and other content on. I'm trying to put out at least 4 videos a month but may be upwards of 8 to 10 depending on what I decide to shoot and what work I have to shoot it with at the time.
So here's a thread that I'll continue to update with videos that I post on the channel.... If you subscribe then thank you! It helps get my numbers up enough to get a custom url so subscribe! Comment and share if you'd like.
I hope that some are able to get some info or knowledge out of the channel in the future. Knowledge is power and I hope I can add to the knowledge base on the interwebz best I can.
Yes... You're correct... not actually a 2-speed rear end as much as a 2-speed final drive.
I'd do the channel in a a helmet all the time but I have to kinda have a face to the business too.... and I'd have to rig up some kind of audio for good sound. So much work! Would be weird if folks showed up to the shop and I'm still in a helmet :O
Subbed last night, after seeing the vid from your other channel! The used bike guide is solid, and I’m going to post it every time someone asks for bike buying tips. Just started watching the Katana series, digging it so far!
I'm trying to keep posting fresh content so shares and comments definitely help the reach of each video. I'm in no way even close to making as much as a penny though so it's not about that one bit lol. I would need about 970 more subs and above 4000 hours watch time in a year. So share that shit! I need to supplement bike parts for the 5 of mine I need to get back on the road
But I do enjoy the editing and making helpful videos so that's worth it all right there.
I'm going to put together a video on choosing a good starter bike too in the near future, as well as how to do a full track conversion and a basic suspension setup guide with a friend who owns a suspension company.
I'm putting this one up here even though I posted it a few weeks ago before my trip up to Washington.
I hope that everyone is having a decent holiday season and want to say thanks to everyone here for being who you are! Maybe this little message of thanks and stuff will motivate someone. Even if it helps one person then that means more than I could ever hope for.
I mentioned that to the guy. His gears started turning but for now we're just gonna get the turd running again. I have a brand new tank for it that's never been used. It's glorious. :devious
If you haven't already, please subscribe! That'd be super neat-O! I'd think you were really a cool person if you did... and you may even enjoy the content too. :devious
CCT came in for the CBR900RR so I finished up the valve adjustment and slapped her in the ass and called her Betty White.... (I have no idea what that means but I'm still working on my coffee this morning.
This valve adjustment is for a 1997 Honda CBR900RR but most of the practices are similar on many different Japanese sport bikes. So if this helps someone get an idea of how to go about a valve adjustment then sa-weet!
Can't wait to ride this bike! Gonna pop a set of take-off Michelins on her and sort out the carbs first but she's probably going to see some track time this season if I can convince my buddy to let me take it with me to the track
Oh and a shoutout to Riverszzr for shooting the shit with me yesterday while I called him asking if he had a service manual for a GPZ1100 (which he did not btw :dowhat)

The shots looking onto the top of the head are really clean. I watch a LOT of big budget you tubers who do bike builds, and that’s probably the cleanest look, while wrenching I’ve seen.
That being said, I’m overdue about 5k for an adjustment, so this video is about to be super helpful!
P.s. you gotta try to get Riverszzr to record himself saying “Honda shims, I’m telling ya.”, for his regular recommendation of said shims.
Anytime someone asks about where to get shims, we just spam them with that message.
But before pulling apart the one above.... Had to get this one started and off of my bench.
Member on here and friend of mine had a bad crank and con rods in his motor. So he found an engine and popped it in knowing that the guy before mentioned having some transmission issues in 2nd or 3rd gear slipping out. Guy thought "maybe it's the quickshifter" so our friend bought the engine knowing it may not be perfect.
It wasn't.... so here's the teardown and a look at the trans. Next video will have measuring, specs, etc. I've already shot it and the case is already back together. Just need to put the top end back together and sides on. Anyway... Enjoy. :bigthumb:
