What the living hell do I need. I've set the little collars keyed into the locks on the carb boots.
They're all facing 'up' towards the front of the bike which is the only choice... the outside pair are facing IN and the middle pair are facing OUT.
None of my screwdrivers are short enough, or slender enough, to get purchase on the damnable things.

What advice?

I'm temped to switch the screws out for m4 hex driver doobles so I could drive them with my flexy screwdriver thingy.

I go in through the ram air ducts (you obviously have to remove the ducts and go through the frame opening) with a 3mm ballhead screwdriver that is about 30 inches long for two of them....the other two a short 4" version of the same tool

Do you have hex socket heads on your boot bolts? Mine are Phillips or cross head or whatever. Switching them out would probably give me much better and firmer location in the driven end, right?
