I didn't
alter anything to get the 1/2", Just loosen the bolts & pull-up to get all the slack you got, & tighten the bolts back down.

Hi, mostly inspirations are from you guys. Thanks for this forum and sharing yours experience.
I have my naked J few months. I'm started from basic. Cleaning carbs, all filters and fluid, baterry. Then brakes - VERSAH SINTERED and Gold Did ZVMX with sprockets. New Tyres Pirelli Diablo Corsa. Hehe, I bought J with front Tyre 2000 year and rear 2007... Aaaa and without clocks, I got used from this model.
Visual projects.
I want rise up tail and cut some plastic like in that beautiful J(photo whit my) , next step will be changing from bh1.
I got other J tail - fairing&undertial for cutting and subframe for bh1 change. I was prefer to bought used one because I don't want destroy my... :)
I know that my J is old but I'm not young too..hihih. Even this ZX6R is my new love. I started whit it after 20 years without any bike. It's beginning for me, I forgoten how I liked so much ride and some garage work.
At the moment biggest problem is my wife... Heheh. She allready hate my J and all bike stuff.
Thanks for your knowledge again.

Meanwhile, I realized that I have standard naked problem with pressure. High speed, laggy in 5, 6 gear. After airbox mod it's all OK.
Resolution will be here of course:) step by step, picture, etc. Easy work:)

Question:
When I want in futere change exhaust, for some nice shorter one then must do Synchro?

If the J model has a butterfly valve in the OEM exhaust, you would likely need to lie to the ECU in order to keep from getting a fault code or warning light displayed. That’s usually a’servo buddy’ that plugs into the wiring harness where the servo would plug in.

J models are carbureted and they also have no butterfly valves in the exhaust system or any of the bullshit.......

Exhaust change should not change your carburetor synchronization, but if you have the tools it sure wouldn't hurt to check and adjust them as well as the TPS measurement and adjustment....
Which jet kit are you running? or is it stock jetting?

Thank you,
It is stock jetting. I haven't tools for Synchro&measurement, this is job for service. I had this job in plans even engine works OK. But this is only my opinion... from ears and feels. My experience is poor and maybe I'm wrong. I'm still learning abut zx6r:)
Next thing I don't know when earlier owners did Synchro, adjustments, etc.
I must check it for my information and for my J of course.

how many miles on the bike?

You know the J models call for valve adjustments and carb sync and more to be done every 7500 miles!

Close to 31.000km + I did 1200km. I have this bike few months, I don't know his service history.
Generaly I'm new in bikers world. My last "bike" - MZ ETZ was 20 years ago. Probably you never saw something like that...hehhe
ZX-6R is another world, it's real bike...

I loved my new old-J, I will do all things which must be done but not all togheter. I need time... First at the moment is Synchro.
I haven't touched yet suspension, it's set like I bought it... I ask mechanics for some info, first say that susp. is quite good, only oil change if I don't know nothing about history. Second say that same, good susp without problems but don't change oil. Don't touch when lags working fine...
They did not ride, only first look and check from seat...
Even susp is OK like they said it wasn't set for me. In other point I didn't feels any strange things on road.
Only I think that my rear is so hard. When I'm sit rear is almost without "jump"
Versus Z750 which I sit to is veryyy big difference.

For sure, only wheels visited specialist for tyres exchange, without bike of course. Rest things prefer to do myself or with my father(Z750) help.
SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH, I SUPPOSE THAT ALL WHAT I'M WROTE WAS BE UNDARSTANDS. :)
