Racing video!!

Brand new angle I tried for the races this weekend. This was one of the coolest vids I got from my 7 races. This was in the super bike A class, meaning major modifications (engine, wheels, brakes, etc) are allowed, as well as it being the 1000cc class. I was on my zx6 with stock motor on pump gas.

This was a combined race with novices and experts, where the experts start a few seconds before the novices do. I'm currently in the novice class. I was able to get the hole shot in a field of 750's and 1000's. Another really fast novice on a 750 got around me after I was trying to put experts between me and him. A little later on, I tried making a pass down low and got the door shut on me when another novice went high and passed us both...doh!!

I ended up finishing 3rd in my class. Not bad for a 600!

Great video and some very good racing! It looks like you had a blast.
Nice! I assume the date on the video is wrong? Is that one of those Chinese keychain cams? I have a couple of those...
This is a swann camera. Date is wrong, this was yesterday.

Nice race man! Bummed I didn't get to make it out there. I had been looking forward to it.

Thats rad!
Thanks guys! Unfortunately, my favorite track, Texas World Speedway, is being torn down this year for a neighborhood :(

So I did 7 races at this event so I'd have good starting spots at TWS next month, the last time I'll ever race there. But that will also eat all my racing funds this year.

I'm really hoping to chase a championship next year if i stay in novice. I'm trying to work out how that's possible for me, financially. If I only do the C classes (two races) and stretch my tires where a single rear will last 2 weekends and a single front will last 3, I'm still about $1000 over budget. That's with only doing half the Friday practices too (corner working one to ride the next) and hoping that I average 2nd place and get some tire contingency. So if you know anyone wanting to sponsor a novice racer, let me know! haha

Thanks for the kind words guys, this race was one of the funnest ones all weekend.

Yes :( June is the last track days, next month is the last race

Also helps being 16, not have to worry too much about getting hurt, and not having to pay for everything...haha. But yea, that kid is definitely fast! I was hoping he would get moved up to expert last year...lol
