Race seats?
For those that track, how do you make or buy a seat for an 07 SBk tail? I am looking to use that fairing, but I am having trouble finnding a good seat for it.

That is what my buddy just told me. I am considering using a full 07 race fairing that covers the seat portion, but I want a cushion of sorts on it.Most people just glue a piece of foam on it. I use the SuperSport fairings and use my stock seats.
On the track a superbike tail is perfectly fine. My old track bike had one and i miss it but sharkskinz wants $300 for their superbike tail...

I like keeping my stock seat. Because it usually cheaper for the super sport tail mainly.
But if you go with the sbk tail then I would suggest a seat from woodcraft like suggested above. I use a lot of their stuff and I have found all of their products to be top notch.

+1 for the Woodcraft seat pad. Good fit and un-noticeable on the bike. Good grip for the straights, but still easy to slide back on.
Theres a guy on the SVRider forum that makes tank pads called HammerGrips. They are an 1/8 inch thick foam pad He can custom cut them to any size or shape you want. I bet he could do one that would make a decnt light weight seat. I havent seen him do it but just a thought.
