Hi folks,

Not sure if I'm putting this in the right forum, but I just wanted to spread the word about a member who recently helped me out.

After riding my new '13 636 from June 11th, 2014 to the end of the season, I decided the stock seat was not good enough.

After hearing stories of certain seats not fitting, others being constantly out of stock, etc. I decided to research the dilemma and found a thread on here that mentioned a user by the name of SleepNSix.

Well, I had him do my seats and he added some foam and gel inserts, and then re-wrapped them in a carbon fiber looking pattern (that matches my exhaust/theme nicely). I'm very pleased. They already feel better. They'll be even better once this BRUTAL winter ends and I can break them in.

If you want better seats, contact him!

Here's some pics:

Damn those look nice! Tempting to do this to my 05's seats
They look amazing. I haven't been excited for a while in regards to my bike...I can't wait to go riding again lol.

I've been excited to ride since the the snow began ahah. Getting my bike repainted to a pearl white (thinking satin white pearl) and getting my seats recovered to look like that would go nice with it.

That'll look good!
Around $200 everything said and done. Hope SleepNSix doesn't mind me sharing that information, lol.
Obviously you haven't had much seat time with the temps being in the single digits but how would you rate the comfort vs stock from first impressions.
Single digits? HA!

Every morning is negative...and with windchill, the other day it was -35. I wish it was the single digits lol.

That being said, I did sit on the seat a bit in the living room and it did feel softer and when I got up I did see the imprint of my butt, so the gel is most definitely working. It's going to take some break in for the cover to loosen up, but it'll be good then.
Glad you like them. You will for sure get more seat time without butt soreness this riding season!

So, I've done like 400 miles or so in the last few weeks since the weather has started to warm up and the first day my butt still hurt, but that was more probably because I hadn't ridden in 6 months. Now, it's all good. Seat feels good and no issues to complain about.
