I actually really, really, like the layout, so I'd be pumped if it ends up getting saved. Then they can fix the bump going into gravity bowl, because that is the one spot that that I am really not ok with haha.
there's probably a better line through there you can take. If you walk the track you will see that you want your tire to be about 1.5 feet off the curbing at apex. There's a lot of camber there and it all disappears 1.5' from the apex. I just want them to repave 3. I've wrecked there and just not a big fan. Turn 1 is my favorite turn out of any track I've been to, including Barber and CotA.

Had a good last lap (at least for me) on my last race of the day that was pretty fun, and made my way from 4th to 2nd.

Nice racing between you top 4 guys!

I wonder if CMRA does a 1-weekend license deal like other racing orgs do. Might have to attend one next year at Hallett. I would get shit on pretty bad by you guys, but it'd probably make me a bit faster, and be a lot of fun.

^Need to make it out to that track sometime! So many tracks on my "go to" list though! Can't make it to all of them in a year! lol

To be honest I didn't care much for that configuration. The full course is much better (twice as long). Definitely a fun track though! Rode all day and raced both Saturday and Sunday on the full course then today on the West course. It was our last weekend. I took 3rd both Saturday and Sunday in Expert GT and ended up 2nd in championship as slow as I am.

Yeah I'd like to try the full course. I'm not really a big fan of when tracks run shorter configurations. What's the point of having a nice big track if you're only going to use like half of it??

Congrats on the 2nd place. Helps to be consistent and to show up to all events! ;)

This is only my 2nd edited video ever haha. But for those who see it what do you guys think? What about my riding skills? Anything you guys see to improve on both editing wise and riding wise?

This is my first video from the bike since valencia 3 years ago, mainly because the last camera fell off. It took me about 10 seconds to hit the camera with my helmet, thats why its leaning.
One lap at Gelleråsen in mid Sweden.

The track layout is new and the track got a new surface in the autumn of 2016. They made the last turn different, so i used theese 2 days to practice on it and try different lines, i gained 1.3 seconds from the shown lap on the day after, and im still not satisfied. It is thought to be the most technical track in Sweden infamous for constant raining, but on the sunny days, its really fun, but demanding.

Here is a friend of mine on the old layout on a R1

That track looks like a lot of fun. Some very fast sections and lots of runoff!

Love that track! And STT is a good group. I'll be there at the beginning of July this year for my 5th time.

One piece of advice though...hit your apexes! You're way too far from pretty much all of them. Stay closer to the apex and get used to running those lines. It will help when you get faster and you advance to the next groups. Right now your line looks too unpredictable, which may work fine the Novice group, but you'll run into problems when faster people will try to pass you in intermediate and you're all over the place.

Advice taken and stored I will definitely remember that for next time! But I'm definitely not an expert rider though by any means this is only my 2nd year riding and my 2nd track day! Fist track day was on a different bike as well.

No problem. Better to get out there earlier than later. Most instructors prefer people that have only been riding for a relatively short time because they don't have any bad habits yet, or if they they're much easier to break as oppose to guys that have been riding for over 10 years and have all sorts of bad habits.

This is a slow motion video taken by Cali Photography this past weekend at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. Beautiful day it was and probably my best overall weekend at any track! I'll be posting up more full session videos later!

From my most recent track weekend at Buttonwillow. I believe this is my second or third session of the day!
