^^ what he said. I just bought one myself.
Ram mount with X grip I mounted mine to my clip-on originally. I might could find some pics. I did not like the stem mounted ones.
would anyone be able to post up a pic of it mounted?
I like the Ram stem mount with the x-grip set up, only issue I see with them is the inability to use a stabilizer with it.

You can use the U shaped mount in the holes of the triple or mount it in the stem. I have mounted in the stem and did end up shaving a little off the mount itself to clear the damper.

Ram mount is expensive, are there any cheaper option you guys use
I have a RAM stem mount with x-grip under my damper, fits no problem without modification. Had to remove the damper to install though.

Awesome guys! Glad you all could clear that up! :thumbup I was just thinking of the GPR.
This thread is amazing. I had no idea these even existed. I am buying a Ram mount now. lol. I hate my phone being in my pocket and having to try and get it out with my gloves on. And now I can use the GPS on my phone.

This is epic! I can't explain how this is going to help lol thanks guys.

$50 to know my phone won't go flying off isn't too expensive IMO. Plus I use all of their other mounting balls on different places on the bike for my camera. I don't like the idea of sticking Go Pro mounts all over my bike.

Agreed, just bought mine.

Now I want to find a way to wire in a usb hub or something to the bike to be able to plug in any usb charger for different devices that might fit in the mount.
It is the U-bolt mount right?

You can get it on Amazon for $30 by buying the 2 pieces separately. And if you have Prime you get the shipping with it too. Might have seen free shipping on anything over $35 as well.

The U-bolt is for mounting to set of handlebars and I think it's better suited for bikes without clip-ons. There just isn't enough space for the U-bolt on our clip-ons but RAM sells both the stem mount which is a rubber bushing that expands inside the steering stem and also a brake/clutch reservoir base which comes with longer bolts and you just unbolt the back of your clutch or brake lever and install the RAM mount with the longer bolts.

I don't get how someone thinks RAM mounts are expensive. So many options for a decent price and holds my valuable cell phone very secure.

A word of advice for anyone wiring up a usb charger. Make sure to tap into switched power instead of wiring straight to the battery. I initially wired straight to my battery and my battery would be dead after having the bike sit over a week.

We are going to wire it to something that only draws power after the bike starts. Thanks for the warning though.

I think I can get the u mount one to fit honestly. I didn't like the stem mount or the clutch mount at all. I am going to put it right next to the kill switch on the right handlebar. The pics aren't mine but I'm at work so best I can do... lol (pics below).

I have my battery tender coming out of the tail. I have a usb port that plugs into it and then a 5ft usb to micro usb that runs from the tail up under the tank and out by the stem. I just plug it in before I head out and BOOM, instant power.
