Perforated leather jacket??? Comments please

I'm thinking about getting a perforated cortech or alpine stars jacket but the perforated leather kind of scares me a little? Will it crack on the perforations? Can anyone comment on the durability?

No problems with my perforated Astars suit.

I've had a cheaper MotoGP perforated leather jacket for at least 6 years.... the perforations are so small, they don't seem to affect the learther's durability at all. Each hole is nearly too small to see, and the amount of leather between holes is probably at least 30 or 40 times the surface area.

No cracking, fraying, or anything else.
Is this a serious question?
Though it seems like it should, I have never seen perforated leather fail faster than nonperforated. Usually the important stress points aren't perforated.

In fact, on my older suit, the first part to start failing structurally due to flexing and normal use was non perforated (the perf parts were holding up).
I have had my joe rocket perforated jacket and pants for 6 years now, no problems.
I even had a lowside on the track with it.
The perf jackets & suits are fine, Just look at all the top racers,(motogp, SBK, BSB etc etc) they're all in perf suits.
What they said, just make sure you are getting a quality piece and you're good to go.

If you wanna save some cash, give the AGV jackets a shot.

My GF has an AGV jacket and she loves it. I have a perforated A* jacket and have had it for ~3 years now, no cracking whatsoever.
