So I have a 2016 636 I’m working on and the fuel pump will not come on. Also when I turn the engine over the check engine light comes on and flashes. The bike is throwing no codes (I fixed the ones it was throwing) anyone have a clue what may be going on here?
I have been all over the bike trying to find out why the fuel pump will not come on so figured I would work on the flashing light in hopes the fuel pump is related. Thanks in advance.

So.........

When you turn on the ignition key;
you never hear the fuel pump prime?

Have you checked to see if you are getting power to the pump?
Have you made sure the kill switch is in the run position?
Have you looked at the service manual and followed the steps of diagnosis....

Sounds like the pump might be unplugged or a fuse has blown. The fuel pump connector is between the seat and the tank. Also check all wiring harness connectors for the fuel system and injectors. Check the service manual for troubleshooting the fuel system. Here’s a link to the manual:
