I’m a 30r 35f guyI run the same numbers.
I think Scumbag is onto something here. When I take my bike in for the first service, I'll ask the mechanic who I know well and trust at the Kawasaki dealership I use (also know the owners very well) to try doing a precise measurement ignoring the marks on the swing arm and see what he comes up with. FYI, there is another younger mechanic in the dealership who I've gotten to know recently who has the same exact bike (colorway and model year). He put a full exhaust system on his bike and had it flashed and tuned, and offered to bring it one day when I'm there to test ride it to see how it performs when it is completely uncorked. I'm thinking it would be a good opportunity for him to test ride my bike and see if he notices an issue with the bike tracking to the right, and I can ride his to see if I notice anything or if it seems to track perfectly straight. One more thing. I removed the exhaust can today, leaving the pre chamber in place, and took the bike for a short test ride (loud AF). It still tracked to the right, but not as quickly or abruptly as with the can on. Obviously that is not the solution, but I just wanted to see if it made any difference at all. Going to put the can back on tomorrow to be nice to my engine. 😂 Counting the days until my M4 Street Slayer comes in.Ya know. For whatever reason our 23 drifted right right out the box too. And I can’t count the complaints I have heard just on the 23”s.
it’s exactly like Lloyd said and it’s the alignment marks. My 20 and my 03 are pretty spot on the marks so I go by them. But on the 23”s I have setup and own I ignore the marks and adjust it by the chain gap and even double checked with my fancy motocross laser mount. And the marks are not the same. I will take a pic when I’m down in the garage but the 23 here is on the left side mark and almost to the next mark on the right side. But the chain is dead on. The majority of the time the marks are close enough to not cause any drift but I have seen them wrong Enough over the years I always start by hitting the same notches but fine tune by checking the chain. Plus the majority of the time you aren’t dead on even with a notch anyways if you slack the chain correctly everytime. So they shouldn’t be used as the final adjustment ever. .
Yeah I wouldn’t mind it so much if in my case it was a slight drift, but within 2 seconds of letting go of the bars I have to put my hands back on or I’ll drive right off the road. 😂My 2006 will track slightly right if I let go of the handlebars and just sit upright
My buddy William says he was born with a grapefruit and a grape nut 🤣I think its because my right testicle is slightly larger than my left.
Yup, you got a point there. Problem is, I don't have all the tools needed. I just reached out to a friend who has all the necessary tools and experience to help guide me. Will be bringing the bike to his place this evening to see what adjustments and results can be achieved.Well to the bikes defense. You really need to keep your hands on the bars lol. This threads days old. It would literally just take you 5 minutes to straight out your rear wheel lol. Just make sure you don’t over tightn your chain. Little to loose is better than to tight.
Just measured both and they are of equal size and weight. So that rules that out. 😂I think its because my right testicle is slightly larger than my left.
