Hi guys,
My name is Nic, 22 years old from Ottawa. I am new to the forum. My current bike is a green '08 ZX-6R, with the jumper mod, fender eliminator kit and the rest is stock. Just ordered some ASV shortys which should arrive in a week or so as well as bar ends.

Heyyy, what part of town!?

How long have you been riding and what did you have before the zx?
did you get to know the bike scene yet?
are you more interested in tim hortons sitting and group rides or rather crazy nights around the city playground with the occasional trackday???

oh ya. welcome!

I'm in the East end, I do hang out at the Timmies on Innes from time to time. I had an EX500 before, got the ZX around August and I'm lovin' it!

there is gonna be a private trackday at Shannonville organized by George from gatineau.
Sunday july 13, 9am-5pm
fabi track (not full track but challenging enough for the 1st trackday).
$140
minimum requirement... wear helmet, jacket and gloves, nothing needed to do to the bike
all up to you.

We just won't have an ambulance on site. next closest thing is Kingston hospital, 30min away.

Here some proof of our fun times from last year!

in the past 5yrs there might have been some minor fractures. It's all between friends or friends of friends. No more than 20 for the day and no more than 12 on the track at a time.

group for beginners and one for advanced so there won't be much overlapping or passing.

Last yr we had 3 lowsides (2 same guy, same corner). a few run off into the grass/mudd. including myself and a buddy who ran off track behind me (see video).

Thank you all for the warm welcomes!

That track day might interest me so I'll keep you posted! And yeah I put about 4000 km's on the bike since I got it and I absolutely LOVE it. still not sure of which upgrades I'm going to put on next since money can be an issue but I'll definitely come on this forum to have a better idea!

Your first upgrade is 'Learning' :bigthumb:
Save your $$$$ for fuel and tyres and just get plenty of saddle time.
A stock bike with a good rider will keep up with any douche bag in the hills with titanium fasteners and carbon fibre heel guards :D
Ride mother f*%#er!

I agree with you but i really do wanna get a slip-on, not sure which one yet, i love the sound of the yoshi and jardine, any other ideas? I like a deeper sound. Tires are still pretty good, 24000 km's full maintenance was done at the dealer about 2000 km's ago and the bike is running smoooth! Really can't wait to take it out, just wish the Canadian winter wasn't that long haha
