New (to the bike) ignition, need an ecu flash?

I did a search but didn't find what I was looking for. I bought a used ignition and key for my 2007 ZX6R and was wondering if I need to get a new ECU or have my current one flashed because of the different ignition.

The bike turns over but won't fire. I wanted to rule this out before moving forward with troubleshooting.
