New TD org in Clifornia: Cali Track Days

Cali Track Days is from the street guys, for the street guys.

We focus on bringing riders off the street and to the track to improve their riding skills in a safe and controlled environment. Our motorcycle track day organization welcomes riders and motorcycles of all shapes and sizes and offers low pricing to fit everyone’s budget, without sacrificing the quality of your track day experience. We are looking to bring new faces into the motorcycle track day scene and share our passion rather than make a profit.

Our Cali Track Days staff is out on track for you and not free seat time. All our instructors are seasoned street and track guys that understand the struggles and will love to help you get the hang of the track and your machine. Learn how to properly ride your motorcycle with quality seat time and complimentary “Master the Basics” classes.

We’re currently offering motorcycle track days in Northern California at the incredible Thunderhill Raceway but are looking to host motorcycle track days all over California at Sonoma Raceway, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Buttonwillow and Big Willow in the future!

Event schedule:

JULY 22 (SUNDAY): Cali Track Days 2 Mile West Track (CW)

JULY 23 (MONDAY): Cali Track Days 3 Mile East Track

Good to hear, are you still rocking the Green and Black with #511? I'll keep an eye out for ya. Currently my track set up is B&W but that may change beforehand.

Nah. I crashed . Now it has track fairings that are white with a black belly pan. I've never been to Buttonwillow so I'm pretty excited. See you there.

Looks like I'll be out and about that day but won't be riding. I have some friends riding that day and they have a garage. Not sure what number yet...

Good to know there will be a great mechanic there if needed ;)

I didn't know there are garage rentals. I need to look into that.
It's possible that I'll load up some tools and stuff.... no Guarantees but probably will just in case! So I'll update this thread when I know which garage they're in.

OK... garage #13

There's some room too... so anyone wanting to post up at that garage is more than welcome. Currently there are 3 bikes in there. 2 running warmers. There's room for 2 more inside if you're running warmers or any overflow can always park outside and chill inside. I usually leave my bike in the sun unless I'm running tire warmers anyway.

Just pitch in a little cash for the rental and enjoy the day!

Really nice TD org. A lot of instructors with riding lessons in between sessions.

My suspension was really out of what but was improved by the suspension tech. The front spring is too stiff which hindered mid-corner stability caused by inadequate rebound damping.

I dropped my bike TWICE. lol. It doesn't have a kickstand. Once as the suspension guy handed my bike back to me and I was getting on and while putting it on my spool stand. Embarrassing. Oh well.

I really like Buttonwillow's layout. I felt quite comfortable by third session.

Looks huge.... Which direction was it run? Clockwise?
Configuration #13 is the one you're seeing and the most used by most track orgs. It's about 2.7 miles at that configuration and run mostly clockwise. "Phil Hill" and "Sweeper" are my favorite turns. Phil Hill is a bling 3rd gear right hander over a hill. Sweeper is a long 3rd gear double apex. Track record is somewhere in the high 1:40's (I think it's a 1:46 or :47 held by Bryce Prince). My fastest lap was a 1:57.7 :laugh

Lots of fun both directions. I prefer counter myself as it's just a better flowing track going CCW. I'm not exagerating when I say I've done thousands of laps around that track lol.

Take a ride for yourself :D This was one of my better sessions over the last 7 years or so.

No... didn't make it out there.

-1/+2 and I only ever see 5th too. I'm pretty much in third gear from out of turn 2 all the way through to Riverside.
