First off, I'm the new owner, the bike is not new...:p

I just picked up a 07 zx6r the other day.
There's is an issue with the motor mount that bothering me,
The previous owner must have dropped it and the frame slider broke and slight damaged the motor mount where the frame slider attached.

Can someone give me some sensible advice on what to do?

It's the right motor mount/frame slider mount. The tip is slightly twisted and leave a small gap between that part of the frame and the motor.
I might not be able to get it inspected if this motor mount is like this.
Am I screwed for this season?

That is twisted/bent. If you can get the collar off you will be able to take out the sleeve in the middle and then bend it back.

I think that colar is a spacer too. The bolt that was part of the old frame slider is broken in the engine mount. That I might be able to drill out or extract. My only concern is how to bent the part back to align the hole with the engine mount???
hammering on it or shoving a iron rod into that hole and push down??

I am pretty sure the collar is inserted/threaded on the engine side, the only way to get the collar out is to drop the engine. The collar acts a a spacer for the engine. Best thing would be to double check in a manual, unless of course anyone here is 100%
The inner collar will come out from the out side. I swapped one out on a wrecked frame for parts. I have one if you need a replacement.

The outer collar holds it in place for adjustment. The inner collar is just threaded and comes out from the out side. It is there so you can adjust the engine mounts from left to right. I just replaced one last month.

if the metal is bent you could probably heat it up and put a bolt threw the hole to the engine and get it back to square...don't hold me on this because i'm not sure if our frames will weakin after heating up..some one else will chime in

The insert is from inside out. There's no way of taking it off with taking the engine down. Saw it in the manual
The insert look ok. The Crown nut look ok. I just need to bent the mount so that the hole alines.
The engine has 6 point mounted to the frame. In Pennsylvania, any damage mounts or missing will fail inspection.......
What can I use to heat up the frame?
Would I risk cracking the part if I didn't heated and just hammered it a bit.
Any one has experiences this before???

if you can get a hold of an oxy/acytelyn (sp) torch you could get her cheery red and just use a screw or bolt that will go threw the motor part and pull on the bent part...reading that sorta is confusing

Frame's aluminum, can't do that cause it'll melt. He'd hv to blacken the area with soot from the oxygen only flame, then use the normal torch flame to burn the carbon off. When the carbon's gone, it's hot enough to bend. Yes, it'll be a lil weaker, but not much as long as he let's it slowly air cool.
