Hey guys! I'm new to this forum and new to sportbikes in general. Just got a brand new 07 Ninja ZX-6R last month and I love it! I have read a few times about some sort of super easy mod that opens up a few more HP, something about jumping a few wires or something under the seat? Does anyone have a tutorial or any info about this?

Also, whats your guys' recommended oil in these beasts? I know I want to switch to synthetic after about 1000 miles, but I'm not sure who to go with. My buddy is an Amsoil dealer, so I was thinkin about their stuff....

Thanks guys and glad to be here!:)

I dont know any hacks for the 07, but I
do remember something about a jumper-wire a good
while back for the 04-05 zx10s.... I cant remember. Sorry.
:O
Any way.
Go for the Amsoil.
It is great stuff.
(along with about a dozen others:))
About half the folks that ride around here are running it.

Welcome out Dude.:rockon

Welcome!

Jumper Mod - http://kawiforums.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=80408

As for oil. I stick with the standard stuff and change it every 1500 miles. I can't say if synthetic is better/not better, but with frequent changes I'd rather not risk clutch slippage... Plus synthetic is 2x more expensive, so I'm really not loosing anything with frequency and keeping my oil fresher - IMHO... Ask 100 people and you will get 100 answers... ;-) Do something and do it often and chances are that bike will run for a long time! ;-)
