Need help 07-08 forks

So I have a set of Elka internals for my 07-08 forks but it looks like they took the internals from a 05-06 and modified them. As you can see in the pics it appears they cut a spacer from the stock tube and i cant figure out where it goes. The elka kit consist of new valving, shims and springs. I have searched all over for installation instructions but no luck. Hopefully someone has done a similar fork upgrade. Think race tech would be the same cause to install there springs you also have to cut down the tubing. Any help would be appreciated!
