Is anyone planning on attending this event with TeamPromotion? I will be there with quite a few people from the Hamptons roads area. If anyone is attending, would be cool to link up!

I will never go there again.

Last year I went early in the season and it ended up being one of the worst weekends of my life, literally.

Took 13 hours to drive there from NY. Got in around 3am and then after just 4 hours of sleep headed over to the track to tech in. Did 2 sessions, and after one lap in the 3rd session some fucking squid on a gixxer rear ended me at the end of the straight away resulting in my collar bone being broken in 5 places.

Had surgery down there which failed weeks later and required a second surgery back in NY. The drive home took 12 hours.

that is why i rarely do season openers very much.. every one comes back with a hot head to go fast and push as if it was the last track day of the season.

Yup, learned the hard way.

Will not be in a rush to get out there again, and have decided I am not traveling to any tracks that are more than 4 hours away. The driving was absolutely horrible.
Yeah I remember meeting you in the ART class. 1st session tht we were free was when the wreck happened. Sorry to hear it turned out like that.

The drive alone would have been the deal breaker for me. On the bright side, you'll be hard pressed to have a worse day at the track!

I believe my buddy wanted to go to NCBike that weekend. We may be there.

I thought about going there in the beginning of April by myself.

Yea dude, I remember as well. I took the Art class just to get the line down from the coaches since I had never been there and it was my first day of the season.

Google maps said it was about an 8 hour drive. Not even remotely close!

And yea, good point, doubt I will ever have a day even close to that bad.
Would like to go, hoping to make it happen.
I'll be there. Not sure If Iwill have my ZX or my Ape

Only 4 hours? Shame. You should go with a buddy or make it a weekend. That is what I do for the longer drives.
I want to go badly. But I'm reluctantly sitting this one out. I no longer go to the first track weekend of the year. I'll be getting geared up for Shenny at the beginning of April.
Save me a spot next to you if you can. I'll be there Saturday morning. No 6R this weekend. I'm breaking in the 300 this time.
It's going to be a pretty good time. I'm going up Friday night to set up.
Andre just knowing that you will be there has made my weekend
Filled...

I really should start signing up earlier :-/
Looks like I won't make this one, will shoot for April. Have fun ! Gets some vids :thumbup
Im going to be there on the Blue 636 with yellow rims. I am riding yellow group. NCbike is a really nice track but squids do happen sometime. Sam True had turn 6 repaired it's supposed to be super smooth now. Hope to see you out there. I will be running a camera tomorrow. It will be added to you tube monday.
