Hey everyone I'm moving to Vegas in a few weeks and I'm trying to see who all are from Vegas. I know I seen a lot of bikes when we were there last year but I could never catch up with anyone to talk to them. I'm looking to make some good friends out on the there I'm moving from Michigan and I just recently purchased my '07 ZX-6R. Let Me know if your in the area and would like to meet up and ride.

I live in Vegas, but mainly do trackdays. I am getting ready to sell my last street legal bike. check out sincitysportbikes for local rides etc.

you can also try 702sportbikes, but that site has been dying a slow death.

There are some track days coming up at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, about an hour out of town, check out trackxperience for those.

Welcome to Vegas

We also have an average high of 58 in January! Take that northern Midwest!
We also average 21 days of precipitation per year. Lots of sunny days out here

My wife has been in MN since April, and is subtly trying to get me to move there, but I don't think she truly remembers what winter is like there.
Didn't the streets in downtown Minneapolis freeze solid this winter when a pipe burst or something?

You truly don't appreciate things until you don't have them.
Not riding for 4 to 6 months a year makes the other months gold. :coocoo

And when Lake Mead dries up everyone will be drinking pool water and when Hoover Dam shuts off due to low water the AC won't workee no more. Vegas will be epic in a couple of years :coocoo

I think about this every day. I just hope I get out before property values plummet. Might as well enjoy it while it is here though.
edit: I just noticed you are from California. I hope you don't think your state is immune to the problem of Lake Mead drying up. Even though you aren't in SoCal, I imagine you will feel the economic aftermath.

Been thinking about moving to Las Vegas. Shit is CRAZY expensive here in the bay! 1 bedroom apartments go for a an average of $2000/month in the bay. In Las Vegas, you can find a 1 bedroom starting at $650. Sure, it's hotter than hell in the summer in LV, but that's what A/C is for. Plus all that extra $$$ you can save, can be spent on the track!!

Dazo it was my attempt of humor. :coocoo
No not riding for several months sucks.

I have 2 track days until next season. Trying to figure out how to afford a trip down to Jennings Florida in February.

The water situation is crappy here too for sure. There are probably enough streams up in the Sierras that i could pitch near for survival mode - don't think that's much of an option out in your neck of the woods  I mean your neck of the dunes

And we've got so many stinkin' casinos around here who needs Vegas for a gambling fix? Seems like there must have been thousands of distinct tribes in California, each of them with holy lands that need to have crap tables installed over the burial grounds.....
