Hey all,

Thanks to Schooley for getting in touch with me as I have obviously not been on the forum in many months.

The short version is that I will be closing the business down. I am still unable to do the work myself and the person who was supposed to be handling my business for me has not been.

I will fill any outstanding orders and will be looking to clear out my remaining inventory at discounted prices. I will be posting a few things in the for sale section soon.

Finally, let me apologize to any on this forum who have placed an order with me in the past few months. I am not receiving the MSM email or phone calls, those are still currently going to the 'gentleman' who is not holding up his end of the bargain.

I am going to get things sorted out as quickly as possible but be aware that I can only do so much in the current state that I am in.

If you have an outstanding order with Mad Scientist Moto, please contact me directly on my personal email: [email protected] or via text to 203-843-1025 and I will do my absolute best to make things right as quickly as possible for you, whether that is a refund or getting product to you.

Take care,

Michael

Glad to hear from you. I wish I wasn't in the middle of buying a house - I would be happy to take some of the stuff you have up for sale off your hands.

Also sorry to hear. If you have anything for 2011+ gsxr 600/750 I would be very glad to take it off of your hands. Keep me in mind when you're sorting through your inventory. Be well and stop by to say hi when you can.

Michael, you should know you have been on the minds, and in our prayers. Please feel free to contact me via PM, or phone/text. You should have my info on file from when I purchased the titanium bolts from you. This is a serious offer.

I had to close a business back in 2009; I have an inkling of the process you are going through. I would make a willing sounding board, if nothing else.

I wish you and your family improving health, and know angels are everywhere, one doesn't even need to see them to know they are there for you. I wish you personal peace.

As Capitalcrew said: "Be well and stop by to say hi when you can."

Best regards,

Mark

Sorry to hear that the business will be closing down. I really do enjoy those levers. I got your PM, and forwarded this forum to the guy in the GSXR forum. I along with others will miss your advice, especially as I attend my first track day this year.

Best of luck to you sir

Yeah it's a bummer to hear that, but good to hear from you again. I figured something wasn't right because you were always good about replying to people and not leaving anyone hanging. Looking forward to see what you have left for sale and I'll do my best to help with some of that inventory.

I just stumbled upon some threads on this axle tool. Does anyone know if these axle tools are still available anywhere?

Just get a captive caliper bracket from Fast Frank Racing. Captive wheel spacers and a captive caliper bracket should be a requirement for any track bike

The old '12 ZX6 I was selling was fully setup with FF quick change front and rear, among a bunch of other little shit like that. I remember you were interested in it when I first put it up for sale, and also remembering laughing at how you wanted to get into a cheap bike at first.

Now you're starting to see and understand why the bike was priced were it was, and it was a steal even at that price, as to build your bike to where my old bike was at, you'd be spending $3-4k more than my asking price was.

Now, all that said...45 seconds to change out front and rear wheels is pretty fucking awesome, make no mistake. Lol

There were also several people at the track that told me I should just buy a fully set-up track bike instead of trying to convert my street zx6r into a track bike, and all you guys were right. I have spent more than I what paid for my street bike turning it into a solid track bike over time. But there is a method to my madness. I wanted to see what each modification and addition did, and how it affected the bike as I was progressing as a rider. I got to learn how to install all kinds of parts, make modifications that suited my ergonomics and developing riding style, and also developed the ability to maintain the bike efficiently between track days. So I paid a very high price for the experience and the learning process. But yea man, I totally see the value in buying a bike like what you were offering at that kind of price point. If I ever get done tracking this zx6r, I'll def buy a fully set up track bike next, and then I'll know all about it's configuration and how to tweak it to my liking. I'm already eyeing zx6rguiy's offer lol.
