this guy. Most his shorts are the tools stuff
This is exactly what I hate.........

See those dings in his brake rotor carrier just outside the speed sensor ring.....

guy thinks I need to buy him 2 brand new rotors now for his 95,000 mile wingding when his rotors are already worn out, they measured 3.277mm thick (it clearly states 3.5MM is the minimum thickness)

jeezus fucking christ......... FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

The tool is all steel, care is taken to not damage anything but it can happen....and considering how much force and heat it took to get the bearings to pop-- well when they did pop, the tool would move and this happened about 8 times before the bearings would finally move freely--- Had I removed is worn out rotor then this would have been on his wheel!

He also trying claiming there were scuff marks on the edge of the rim from the tire machine........... FUCK OFF, the clamps are plastic and so is the duckhead!!!!! (and I am willing to wager money he caused those tiny scuffs from pulling the calipers or putting them back in?)

and on top of all this stupidity............ He said his axle used to slide through with no effort and now it has to be pushed and he could only get it to push through by hand one way
yep- I did not have the axle now did I........ but now that he brought it in, I had no problem tapping it through with the dead blow then magic, it now slides through either direction by hand pretty easily...... obviously either the center spacer was slightly askew or a slight bur on it from the blind hole puller

Old fucking bastard is now on the blocked and never allowed to return list. fuck you old bastard

and you should have read the disclaimer you signed at drop off or on my website......
" Care is taken to scratch bikes or wheels etc, but it can happen. You accept this and hold Lloyd's harmless if some minor dings may happen while your motorcycle is here for work"

This is like the 4th person in about 4 years to piss and moan about something so fucking minor that you can't even see when assembled or just simply make up a 100% fabricated lie..........
~one of them claimed when I cleaned the tape off his wheels it removed the clearcoat and ruined his rim.
~one of them claimed the nicks where the clip on style wheel weights were, his claim was that not only did I cause those but that I also somehow managed to bend his rim more than .090"........ the fucking lowlife loser was told and shown (since he was waiting) both the bend and the chips before I even installed the new tire by me
~another one actually claimed I switched his mirrors and thus must have crashed his bike.......... WTF........ ummm NO, just fucking NO, he said one of his mirrors had scratches on it and now doesn't........ I guess MOTHERS BACK TO BLACK works way better than even I thought..... and he kept insisting I had to have crashed it, sure thing moron, and in the sub 28 hours your bike was in my possession I managed to crash it and order new bodywork, get said bodywork and install it on top of doing all the work to not only your bike but your buddies bike that was here the same amount of time......... fucking ridiculous
~ Not nearly as bad as the dumbfuck that claimed I refused to answer the door so he could pick up his bike and pay and further claimed he had to bring cops with to get it back- further stating that is the only reason he was able to get it and that the cop supposedly told him that is a common problem with me--- oh and he bitched about $40 extra dollars on his bill, since his mirros did indeed fall off while test riding and his front fairing bolts were likewise out, so I fixed those things for him! yet I never heard about this cop story until I saw his review online weeks later, So of course I looked at the camera harddrive memory......and of course- security cameras clearly showed he came alone (no call, no text, no appointment) while I was gone picking up parts (he arived about 10 minutes after I departed) and when he returned hours later he got his bike..no cops ever caught on any of the cameras ever !-- this fucking review is up on google, zero fucks given once google actually allowed my response to stand (they censored it and removed it the first few times- then banned me for more than a year from even accessing or closing down the account, legal letters finally got them to allow it in the form I typed it out.. I did not hold back in typical Lloyd's fashion...idiots need to be punished and hurt! including google dumbfuck loser leftists!)

Fucking idiots, too many fucking lying idiots the internet gives a fucking voice to

Damn. It’s honestly getting harder and harder to work with people. I have some similar story’s. Last one a fzo9. Brought in for first service. 3 weeks later came back saying we must of dropped his bike. Tank dent scratcherd mirror scratched side cover rear set. I was like. Took you 3 weeks to notice this? I was ranting to the guy next door after I fixed all that shit and he remembered seeing a kid about a month ago pick up his bike and drop it in the parking lot before he left. Couple hours scanning the security cameras and what do you know. I found him. I sent him the video and a bill for “my fixes”. Haven’t heard anything. Suspect I want. Good riddance tho.

and don’t sweat the bad online reviews. Normal people see through that bullshit. I had a guy bring a farm side by side to the park. Took it on a clearly “hard” marked trail literally says. “Hard/expert lots of mud holes”. Gets it stuck. I wander onto him because I was riding my bike that day. They seemed nice. So I stop my ride come back get the skid steer. Spend two hours getting to him to pull him out. He even offered to pay. Next morning wake up to a very nasty review of how are “trails are not passable” Grrr pisses me off.
I’m looking to buy a new gun safe. 24 gun safe. First bad one star review is. “It holds 24 guns except I have to remove some guns to get to other guns” 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. It’s not a walk in closet ya dumb fuck. The next bad review is. “I don’t feel like it’s as fire proof as they claim”. Wtf. Did you throw it in a fire? Where do you get this thought? Lol. People man. It’s why I hate everyone

my buddy tints windows. Guy insisted he wanted 20% limo tint. Then Leaves him a bad review because his windows are to dark. I swear man. Ya just can’t win with people these days.

Do I come across as passive to you?!?! lol

Every year I get a few people who will leave (or don't even make it through the drop off process- and some don't even make it through the intial contact process) and state the reason is; I am too.............. insert adjective here..............

direct is what they really mean but often they pick other words like;
confrontational
loud
boisturous
full of myself
know it all
heartless
cruel
uncaring
etc....

If I really cared about reviews and public perception of those reviews.....I would do what all the experts tell businesses to do on social media.....
bow down and eat it and beg for their forgiveness and act like I am wrong and what can I do to make it right etc.......you know LIE like a ************

but I stand up and fight and give zero fucks about those who see it as a bad thing--- I do not want any more leftist loser fucks as customers anyways
if they are so offended by defending yourself from stupid, GO THE FUCK AWAY!
if my words hurt you......... GO THE FUCK AWAY!

I want it known to those who read that stupid leftist garbage of lies......... Lloyd will not tolerate that bullshit and has no issue being in your face confrontational!
if that offends you- don't ever contact me!

This was fun..............

adjusters are just a wee bit buried............
2 clicks clockwise on #2
4 clicks clockwise on #3
5 clicks clockwise on #4
#1 is fixed position.....

and with lack of good exhaust ducting and ventilation, now I simply wait for the open doors and big fans to air it out to make the air breathable once again...................

fucking stupid!!!

I hate running motorcycles in this place for more than about 0 seconds!

and man the temp and humidity in here went up super fast, sweating just sitting in the office......uggg

It is certainly time to spend money and fix the exhaust issue...... I can't do this for 5 more years.......

Are we having fun yet?????????

This thing is just a plethpora of problems, way beyond the less than 0 valve clearances and everything corroded and oxidized, rusted........... blowing right past 1200, right past 1600 and likely approaching or surpassing 2000 real fast

It wouldn't even turn (when riding--it wandered all over and took great effort to try and turn then would soar that direction way beyond what was intended--ride did not even make it out of the parking lot), and worse was someone cranked them so super tight I had to use a3' long 3/4" breaker bar necked down to the 1/2 drive socket to get the top "preload" nut off...I am surprised it (thin toothed nut) did not break

further.....
I loved having to remove the caliper bleeders to drill out the solid crud in the holes so they then could be bled, only to get clogged up several times along the processs......... longest brake bleeding/flushing session ever!!!!!!!!

On a plus side....... the 40ish bikes I had here about 4 weeks ago is down to "only" 25 today.......

but there are 4 of them I really wish were already done and gone. better still, would have been they never ever were allowed to enter..........

fyi.......... I went up and removed the actuator arm on the fucking louvers........... then was able to exhaust the shop better, had to then manually go back up and pull the louvers closed

but it still sucks.....as the fresh air inlet is between the stinky bikes running and the exhaust fan- so at best it slowly dillutes the carbon monoxide
thus...departing for atleast 30 minutes after any bike is run

here are a couple pictures

and yes- I can see about 5 wasp nests inside the fan area just outside the louvers (when closed).....uggg- hopefully the 2 cans of brake cleaner shot at them will keep them from ever returning

and of the tool and the top "torque" nut to adjust preload on the steeringhead bearings........

I have had good luck with bleach for keeping bee nest out. Seems to stick around and last longer. Seems like it helps with rodents too. I use to get them in my storage bar so few times a year I just dump and spray that shit everywhere. Absolutely none of the border spread stuff works for anything. I have tried it all. And the Irish spring soap trick doesn’t nothing.

Would you rather??????????

have someone just slap your shit together with almost zero fucks given or...........

have someone who actually cleans up the rust and corrosion and does a much more thorough and correct job even when it costs more money ?

prime example is that rim--- most people would have just left that 21 year old valve stem in there and not cleaned any of the rubber and corrosion off the bead area, and just simply slapped on the new tire and been done

or what about the rusted and corrosion laden bolts and threads---makes it impossible to properly torque anything, but it is an easy extra 45 minutes to have to of gone through them all (the ones I removed) to wire wheel the bolts and run a tap over and a die through the threaded portion, then add some anti sieze or other suitable lubricant

then just a couple looks at the new tapered roller bearings........... fyi
I necked up my quarter inch drive inch lb tq wrench to 3/8 drive and that to 1/2 inch drive to fit the socket......... the proper tq spec for how I want them to feel.........90 inch lbs.......... so7.5 ft lbs (but you will never ever find a ft lb tq wrench to be accurate at that small range! never! Most of the time I simply go by feel on these and have been good

but I remember a discussion a while back of people asking and I think it was said about 10 or 11 or even 12 ft lbs........ well- it is much less! unless you want that steering damper on max always feel

I have 2 gallons of bleach still here at work from back when it was a mold pit of despair and awaiting illness.......... I will put some in a sprayer and turn on the fan, open the shutters and spray a bunch in there (need to have the fan going to keep the wasps from just coming in the shop, plus it should help disperse it all over the nests)
I tried numerous wrenches that would read accurately below 15ft Ktm/husky has several important suspension bolts that is very low torque

I ended up with a very very old needle style wrench (the manual ones that bend the needle) I found in the old man’s basement. Goes from 0-15 in 1/4”. Idk who makes it it’s only stamped made in Detroit USA on the back. his Brother was a designer type guy with Delco back in the day and I think it came from him. But I love that thing and wouldn't take Anything for it.

So after cleaning up the brake rotors- becasue new pads are going in and I need to do that to properly bed in new pads...... , I could then see the direction arrows on them---yep, both backwards......... STUPID DUMBFUCKS!

So after removing them to swap sides, then I notice................. yep no centering spacer between the wheel bearings, that fully explains why the nut on the front axle was barely finger tight.....DUMBFUCK is side loading the wheel bearings............ I am guessing he had these wheels powdercoated at some time and has been riding on it since that was done, judging by how dirty everything was... No idea what DUMBFUCK loser idiot lost the spacer and put it all together improperly!

and finally...... a little bit of 1200 grit across the exposed fork legs to remove the rust pitting that stood proud......

but this pile of dung is such a huge pile of dung it should have simply been thrown in a dumpster............ he says he is going to need "extra time" to come up with all the MORE money this pile of dung is costing him...........
yeah lucky me, another bike to sit around endlessly, I should have worked on something else, anything else

I suppose that requiring a deposit before the wipeout starts isn’t really acceptable to the masses…
😲😲😲. It is scary working on bikes knowing how many bikes are on the road being held together by hopes and prayers. I tend to see backwards tires way more often than you would think.

I am unclear on what this means?... but I think I understand the thought???

a deposit on this pile of dung at drop off did not happen sadly....

and most people do not want to leave a deposit on their bikes when they drop them off for something like....

This originally was simply scheduled for a tune up service
upon arrival (his drop off time) I made clear the tires were too old to ride on and needed new ones.
and noted all the corrosion and rust, worn out brake pads and super dirty chain etc.......
So he went from thinking it would be about $1000 to it would be about $1500
but still at that point nothing major "appeared" and he did not state anything wrong when he was riding it

Now reality is.......
This is likely to exceed $2000 by the time new wheel bearings and the new center spacer is installed along with all the other '"extra" bullshit
rough numbers right now as it sits is between 1850 and 1900.. the spacer is about $22, the wheel bearings will be about $25, and then some install time. lets say I can do them in 45 minutes... $75 and some government theft on the parts, likley adds in the $135 range to the existing bill
and lord willing.....it then departs after being paid in full

it would leave a few issues still..
the battery is marginal at best--- I doubt it makes it through the riding season, it certainly won't make it through weeks of sitting. but, if daily ridden it may be "Okay enough"
the rear brake caliper and master really should be rebuilt so they can be fully disassembled and cleaned- I am certain that all the crud did not come out and may or may not pose some issue, of course the cheap alternative......flush them once a month for several months and see if they ever finally get 'good'........ but a proper fix is really the right thing to do
then who knows how long the fork seals hold
and of course both low beams on the headlights are burnt out- it only has high beams.......

riding the thing to scuff the tires and bed in the new brake pads, the suspension is stiff as fuck but then again it has a corbin seat on it that is hard as stone too, exacerbating the problem.........
The first ride was sub .1 miles, the second ride was about 2 miles

Yeah spell check jumped in on my last post. All bills settled in advance of services seems pretty reasonable….
Yeah spell check jumped in on my last post. All bills settled in advance of services seems pretty reasonable….
I wish that was reality, get them to leave a deposit in the sum of the estimated total cost at drop off.......

Although their counter argument in the past (for those I required they paid up front) has been...
Then you have no incentive to get it done ever, you are already paid, if I hold all the money you have incentive to finish it so I pay.

anyways.......
8
So yesterday was a super long day, did not depart until well after 8......... on a Sunday no less. uggg
ended up waiting hours longer than I really wanted to for this HD with a flat rear tire to show up on a flatbed

originally I only planned to work a couple hours then go riding.the riding never happened sadly......

Well the customer states.........
We put a rubber gasket under the valve stem so I could ride it to my moms, but it is flat again....... rear tire was apparently replaced about a month ago

Sure enough it finally shows up here, only two tie down straps pulling forward and in...... 3rd or 4th gear, just sitting in the middle of the flatbed trailer.....
Somehow by sheer dumb luck the bike arrived still standing (about a 10-12 mile tow)- one hard stop or even the slightest too fast of corner or on ramp and for sure it would have fallen (no way no how those straps were rated for any higher than 500 lbs....... they were super thin and very narrow)

I look at it and get it unloaded, some super cheap wimpy tie downs to boot..... and the rear is so flat it is almost squished to the rim touching
but I see instantly it is a spoked wheel (inner tube) so their 'washer under the valve stem' just slowed the torn tube from leaking out of the wheel, it was for sure still leaking.......

anyways, Now to tear into it and see how much damage this tire suffered by riding it flat? no idea how long he did so etc, but he was out riding with others and they stopped to help him and came up with this....put a gasket under the valve stem thing and filled the tire for him, likely would have been good for a mile or something to get off a major road, but to ride for 15 minutes or more to your moms house????????

I spun it around and looked, no obvious sign of any penetration through the tire, certainly nothing still stuck in, but once off I will know more.....

fyi. front tire is last years (2521) and cupped, I check air pressure and only 32..no idea how many miles on it but 54,000 on the 08 HD (so about 3600 miles a year) no idea with this owner.........

So while waiting, some carb cleaning commenced........ The first picture shows clearly the air jets, both pilot air and main air- and on this bike they are fixed.althoguh nothing is truly fixed, you can drill and tap them and install normal air jets for tuning.
These definitely were not horrible but were dirty......... and the needles were "lou ringed".some local guy who has a history of "tuning" the jetting by always sticking o-rings on the needles so they are lifted higher....... uggg bandaid for a suture wound

So I slet late and waitied for the local dealer to finally open at 10am and went and picked up a couple new service manuals,,,,,,,,,, I hate that they now cost me $90 each..they were only about $60 each just a couple years ago

and some fun with forks............. this I actually enjoy once you get past all the slimy dirty part of leakers
